Heartbeats and Hooves - Myna

Out to the ranch,

Word had been brought,

Explosions at the jail and bank,

And more bandits to be caught.

Lorne saddles the horses,

I strap on my gun;

We take off like lighting,

As fast as the ponies can run.

Heartbeats and hooves,

Are keeping pace,

Our hearts fill with dread,

As to town we race.

We make it to town,

And find a grim sight,

Smoke and flames,

Fill the chaotic night.

The posse is already gone,

In hot pursuit of the bandits.

Lorne and I assess the scene,

And have a plan in minutes.

We get right to work,

Puttin' the fires out first,

And tendin' to the wounded,

The doc's decidin' who's hurt worst.

Unger is here,

To take care of the dead.

Billy took out six,

As always, he kept his head.

Gyn and Margarita,

Have opened the cafe,

Taken care of the kids,

Keepin' them out of the way.

CG, Loren and Rue,

Are helpin' the doc;

Patchin' up the wounded,

Their determination solid as a rock.

The chaos fades,

With the morning sunlight...

BG's a town of family and friends,

Everyone knows we'll be alright.
