We were in fast pursuit the trail hot
The wagons split up, So did we
I had no choice but to put my faith
In my company.
"I got Boot Hill," OBoyle said.
"Am I in trouble if they end up dead?'
"No, but it be good to keep someone alive
in case we have to track these busy bees
back to the hive."
O'Boyle nodded he understood.
Not that it would do me much good.
He's the type that could easily take a life
If it means for him less stress and strife.
O'Boyle follows the wagon as it takes it turn
I keep in hot pursuit, sun's coming up
Don't want daylight to burn
Better to track them in the black
Catch them unawares and drag them back.
