Rue felt her presence
The moment she arrived
Rue look up and seen Missy
Denver's tales of her beauty
Were not contrived.
Hard to imagine
What they've been through
They came up to the table
"Hello Again, Rue!"
Rue gave Denver a smile.
"You clean up well."
Lotta and Satchel left
So, Rue offered them to sit a spell.
"I wished to thank you"
Said, Missy
"For what you've done.
Denver wouldn't have survived.
If Snake Bite had won."
Rue pulled out the pouch
That Denver had given to her
"I don't know what this contains
I thought to give it to her several times
but for some reason refrained."
"However, I kept my promise
I looked after her
Not that she was aware.
She's been very busy.
I've given her not a moment to spare."
"She's been working to create iron works
For the hotel.
So, business has been good for her,
In case, you couldn't tell."
Denver took back the pouch
"Thank you again, Rue.
It would seem we both owe you.
A debt of gratitude."
