Time for grieving had come and gone
Life in BG had to move on
Celebrations had to move ahead pronto
Opening the new Grand Hotel and Casino
The Mayor, Brody and 3Gun
would be there to see the party was all fun
The gambling, the dancing, the food and the wine
If everyone behaved things would go just fine
As the new floor manager Ronan cleaned up good
And was eager to start as Rue knew he would
Satchel had Lotta's fretting to bear
All the time wondering what she should wear
Annie and CG would be there to assess
CG of course in her famous red dress
Harriet, Margarita and Chechi Nikash
joined with the Bigbees for the opening bash
This was Rue's dream right from the start
And she would make sure all had a part
Loren's appearance after so long
Would thrill the assembly as she warbled a song
Red House girls would appear opening night
Evelyn Treelane would sing to everyone' delight
Tallulah's Riverboat girls would be there to dance
Truman would play something by the seat of his pants
Myna, AJ and Gyn would provide that day
the best to be eaten from the Bounty Hunter Cafe
Hope was held out for the Buchannan's and Lou
That they'd make the opening but then, who knew
Rusty Rooster, CrookedSmile, even Raven showed up
Along with Pastor Stein, Unger the Doc and Strop
They would all be there for the grand repast
including all the rest of the cast
The casino lights would dazzle and flash
Guests would gladly part with their cash
Enjoying every minute of an extravagant bash
Rue's Grand Hotel and Casino would be a smash
She sighed and looked forward to opening night
