Jaebum felt his heart pattering against his chest, the beating of it so loud that he could hear it himself.  He paced back and forth through the hallway for a few minutes, trying to figure out exactly how to confess. He wondered if he should be sweet or cool. Which did Jinyoung like more? Jaebum couldn't even begin to know or find out.

Jaebum liked to be prepared for things like this, but Jinyoung was just so intricate and confusing, he had no idea where to start or where to end. But he couldn't take hiding how he felt forever, at some point Jaebum knew he would have to mention something about his feelings, he just didn't expect it to be right now. Eventually though, he just said 'fuck it' in his head, and planned on just winging it as he walked into the living room where he spotted Jinyoung gazing out of the window.

Just seeing Jinyoung standing there made Jaebum nervous, his body glowing against the dark backdrop of the nightscape outside the window. Jinyoung was so ethereally beautiful it was unbelievable, and Jaebum felt that it was much harder to confess to someone who looked so much like a god. He sucked it up though, striding towards Jinyoung to tell the younger all that he's been feeling this entire time.

"Jinyoung, I- " Jaebum started to say, Jinyoung's head whipping around as Jaebum called his name. Though the look on Jinyoung's face showed a mixture of fear and worry, and suddenly Jaebum knew something was off.

"Jaebum come here. Quick." Jinyoung said, his eyes turning back to look out of the window.

Jaebum quickly approached, the thought of confessing his feelings to Jinyoung now pushed all the way to the back of his mind, possibly to never be seen again. "What? What is it?"

Jinyoung pointed to something through the window, his finger pressing against the cold glass. "Do you see that car across the street? Had that... always been there?"

Jaebum looked, seeing a black car parked across the street. He doesn't remember noticing it or not noticing it, it probably just belonged to the neighbors. "I don't know... why? Does it look familiar?"

Jinyoung shook his head, hesitating for a while before finally spilling what he was thinking. "I... I could be wrong... I mean, I probably am wrong but... I've seen similar cars that Shadow members use, they look pretty much like that one... I mean, maybe I'm going insane right now, maybe I'm just being paranoid or something, but-"

Jinyoung gasped as Jaebum grabbed his wrist, the younger suddenly being yanked away from the window.

"Let's go." Jaebum said, walking back towards their bedrooms.

Jinyoung stumbled behind him, not sure exactly what was happening. "G-Go where?"

Jaebum stopped, turning to face Jinyoung as he pulled out his phone. "I'm calling Jackson. We're leaving now."

Jinyoung's eyes flickered back and forth between Jaebum and the window, the younger being unsure if what he saw was even right. "Jaebum are you sure? The car could just belong to someone else, I might just be a bit paranoid- "

Jaebum shook his head, his decision to leave firm and final. "I'm not sticking aroung to see if that car belongs to Shadow or not. I'd rather be safe than sorry."

Mark just walked out of the kitchen, smiling as he spotted the two talking. He probably thought Jaebum was confessing at the moment. "Guys, dinner is-"

"Mark we gotta go." Jaebum cut him off.

Mark's smile dropped, confusion now settling on his face. "What?"

"Shadow might be right outside your door." Jaebum stated, the sentence sending a chill through both himself and Jinyoung.

Mark was still confused though. "Shadow?"
