Jaebum had been using Jackson's computer to do some reacher on Shadow, and sure enough there wasn't much information of them online. He found a few articles and blog posts of a group that operated similiarly to them, but overall Jaebum just kept hitting dead ends.
He groaned, shutting the computer and leaning back in the chair he was sitting in.
Mark who had woken up at some point was sitting across from him, looking up when he heard the frustrated noise Jaebum emitted."No luck?" He asked.
Jaebum sighed, shaking his head. "No. Nothing. Just a few posts here and there but as Jinyoung said, they're hard to find."
"No wonder they want us gone, they can't have their secret organization exposed to the public." Mark mumbled, shaking his head as well.
Jaebum had hoped to find any information at all just to educate himself more on the group, but unfortunately they were back to square one, still needing to figure out what to do about these people who were hunting them down. It was all so stressful, and Jaebum could hardly imagine what Jinyoung must be feeling as well. He knows Shadow through and through, and was probably scared out of his mind of the people who were after him.
Jaebum groaned, annoyed at how useless he felt. "Mark I wanna do something to help but I don't even know exactly who or what we're dealing with..."
"None of us do besides Jinyoung. And Jinyoung can barely give us anymore information than he already has. We're just stuck here Jaebum, we can't do anything." Mark stated, obviously wanting Jaebum to give it a rest.
Though Jaebum couldn't just ignore the impending threat upon them. "We have to do something. We can't just sit here and wait for them to find us."
"You just need to relax. You're way too worried about this." Mark stated, focusing back on whatever he was doing on his phone.
That annoyed Jaebum for some reason, the way Mark had casually brushed off the situation as if it weren't a big deal. "You're not worried enough! You're too busy throwing yourself at Jackson to even care anymore huh?"
"Shut up Jaebum." Mark said firmly, not wanting to hear about him and Jackson at the moment.
Jaebum scoffed, shaking his head. "I'm only stating the truth. Why don't you help me instead of sitting there waiting for Jackson to fuck you."
At that Mark put his phone down, sitting forward on the chair he sat on with a finger pointed at Jaebum. "Shut the hell up, without me you and your little boy toy wouldn't even be here. He'd be in jail and you'd be back in your janky apartment. I would be living my life peacefully and Jackson wouldn't be burdened with any of us."
"Don't call him that. I already thanked you for helping but we're obviously not done here." Jaebum stated, trying to get Mark to see how deep they're still into this mess.
Mark shrugged, spreading his hands out in front of him. "I've done my part. What else do you want from me?"
"I want you to care at least a little bit!" Jaebum stated, disliking how careless Mark seemed to have gotten as soon as they arrived at Jackson's place. He needed to make sure that he could keep Jinyoung safe, and Mark was apart of this too.
Jaebum's tone got Mark riled up as well, the elder's voice rising as he got more upset. "If I didn't care I would've kicked Jinyoung out of my house the second he stole money from me! You made me house a criminal and I had to pretend to be okay with that. And now instead of being left alone, I have to sit in hiding from even more criminals after me."
"Stop calling him a criminal, you know he's better than that! You told me that you saw potential in him Mark, why are you giving up on him?" Jaebum asked, feeling a bit hurt and betrayed.
