Jaebum eventually went back to work on gathering information on Shadow, still coming up with very little results. He grew annoyed of his fruitless efforts and slammed closed Jackson's computer again, deciding to actually take a break from it this time. His mind immediately set on Jinyoung, and he wondered what the younger was doing to take his mind off of everything. Jaebum couldn't help but wander down the hall to his room, gently knocking on the wood for a response. He heard a low mumble of "Come in" to which Jaebum opened the door and entered.

Jinyoung was sprawled out on his bed, staring at the ceiling. A little bit of his stomach showed, and Jaebum's eyes immediately was attracted to the bit of skin that was visible. He found the entire scene adorable, though Jinyoung looked more bored than anything.

"Is this what you've been doing for the past hour or so?" Jaebum asked as he closed the door behind him.

Jinyoung looked over and immediately sat up at the sight of Jaebum, tugging his shirt down and fixing his hair. "Um... I guess..."

"Oh. Well... did you ever take that nap?" Jaebum asked, trying to spark up some sort of conversation.

Jinyoung shook his head, his hands clasping in his lap. "No. Not yet."

Jaebum nodded, for some reason feeling a bit awkward around Jinyoung. Maybe he was intruding on the younger's alone time, and maybe Jinyoung didn't want to be bothered with useless conversation right now. Jaebum shifted his weight, rubbing his arm as he tried to figure out something else to say. He couldn't think of anything. And Jinyoung didn't say anything either. That was probably a good sign that he should leave.

"Um... well... I just came to check up on you... so I'll go now." Jaebum said, quickly turning to exit the room.

But he was stopped before he could even touch the door knob. "Wait."

Jaebum turned back around, looking at Jinyoung who ceased him from leaving. "Yeah?"

Jinyoung looked down at his lap, taking in a breath before standing up to face Jaebum. "Can I... ask you something?"

Jaebum wondered what Jinyoung could possibly want to ask him. Maybe something had been on his mind all this time and he was finally gonna tell Jaebum about it. Or maybe he did something bad and wanted to know if Jaebum would forgive him. A million different scenarios played through Jaebum's mind, but he would only know what Jinyoung was curious about when he asks. "Sure, what is it?" He responded.

Jinyoung's eyes were glued to the floor, his teeth tugging at his bottom lip as he mustered the courage to ask his question. "Jaebum... are you sure you're not upset about Mark and Jackson? Like... you seem sort of affected by them..."

Jaebum was taken aback. That's what Jinyoung was worried about? That of all things going on, he was worried about Jaebum being jealous? Why did everyone seem to think he had some sort of hidden feelings towards Mark and Jackson's relationship? He was tired of hearing about it at this point. "No, I told Jackson a billion times that I don't care. Why are you so concerned about it?"

"Because you seem upset. Or jealous. You used to date Mark, so I get it if you still have feelings for him, and I know Jackson's your best friend, so you might be upset at that. But you're worrying so much about them being together that-..."

"That what?" Jaebum asked, interrupting Jinyoung's rambling. He hoped that he was right about the assumption he was about to make, because it would be embarrassing if he were wrong. "That I'm forgetting to focus on you?"

Jinyoung faltered, the younger immediately looking away. "I... I didn't say that..."

Jaebum could see the slight blush of embarrassment creeping up onto Jinyoung's face, which gave him more hope that he was right about Jinyoung being the one who was jealous. Jinyoung didn't have to say what he was thinking, it was obvious. "You didn't say it but that's what you're thinking, isn't it?"
