Clancy was still teaching Ruby how to be an Orange. It was thought she would be better by now, but apparently, the thought was wrong.

"Ruby, you're still holding back," he told her as they were sitting across from each other on the floor. "Why are you so afraid of who you are? What happened?"

Luce was outside of where they were. She made her way up the steps when she heard them talking. She didn't want to be rude and listen to their conversation, but she couldn't help it. She stayed close and was quiet as she listened.

Ruby was quiet for a few seconds before saying, "I've never told anyone."

"Of course you haven't. Only another Orange could understand."

She was going to shake her head at his statement, but then she remembered Luce was basically part Orange as well. Not only her but also her brother. Then again, she doesn't really know him as much as she knows Luce. She is closer to her than to him in the first place.

"Let me in. You can't hurt me." He scootched a bit closer to her and held his hand out for her to grab. "It's okay."

When she held onto his hand, she showed him what she never told anyone. She showed him her birthday. When she went to sleep with her parents and she held onto their hands. Holding their hands was a mistake because that was when she erased herself. She didn't mean to and she still doesn't understand how she did.

Ever since then she couldn't get past it. Their reactions to seeing her in the morning are still heartbreaking to her. Her mother telling her she's not her mother, she can't get it out of her head. She can't forget that day even if she tried to.

When she pulled out of his head, the first thing he said was, "You erased yourself."

She nodded as her eyes started to fill with tears. "Yeah."

Luce couldn't help but feel a bit betrayed. Even though she couldn't help much with her Orange abilities, she did try. The fact she couldn't tell her about accidentally erasing herself but she could tell him instead made her a bit upset. She told her her deepest darkest secrets, like being a Purple and having a twin. She couldn't do the same? Her situation might have been worse compared to hers, but still, at least a snippet would have been fine.

She didn't move from her spot outside. When she heard footsteps making their way up, she looked over and saw Liam. He was about to open his mouth but she signaled him to be quiet. He did what he was told and was quiet as he went to go stand next to her. She looked at him before leaning in a bit close so she could hear Ruby and Clancy a bit better, but not too close to be obvious.

"I didn't want them to worry about me. And so, I guess I just...I took away me. I was just a little kid. I had no clue what I was doing. I just wish I could fix it." A stream of tears made their way down her cheeks. She couldn't stop them and she didn't want to at this point.
