Greens are geniuses.
Blues are telekinetics.
Yellows are electrokinetics.
Reds are pyrokinetics.
Oranges are mind controllers.
Purples are all of the above.
They are rare and har...
"Luce," Ruby called on her before she had the chance to leave after the game. "Can we talk please?"
She debated if she wanted to talk to her, but she looked at her and nodded. "Yeah, sure."
They separated from the group, but not before Luce glanced back. She saw Liam and Luke glancing at them. She knew the Blue knew what was going on, but not the Purple. Still, she smiled at them reassuringly before she faced forward and left with the Orange.
"It's about earlier, isn't it?" Luce asked, although she already knew the answer to her question.
She nodded a bit shyly. "Yeah. I'm- I'm sorry, okay?"
"What? No?" She shook her head. "I should be the one to apologize. I," she sighed, "I overreacted. I was being selfish and... You know what? Screw it. I was being a bitch," she said with a smile at the end, relieved.
Ruby couldn't help but laugh. "Well, that makes two of us- and don't say I shouldn't say that because I should. Come on, we both know that."
She shook her head and smiled at her before she got serious. "Listen, I get we literally met not that long ago, but it honestly feels like we've known each other since forever. We probably don't act like we're best friends-"
"Maybe, but we're a family," Ruby corrected.
She softly smiled at her. "Yeah, we're a family," she said with a nod. "Just...if you have any questions about being an Orange or even about me being a Purple, just come to me and ask. If you want to say something, whether it's about what we're capable of doing or anything, really, just please tell me. I'm here for you and I mean it."
Ruby knew she meant it. Even though they don't seem like they're that close, they are pretty close. She appreciates every single one of them, including Chubs. Even though they had a rough start, deep down she feels like they're getting along.
She thought about what to say. She opened her mouth, but then closed it, but then opened it again. "I... I actually have something to tell you. If you don't mind me telling you now."
She shook her head. "Oh no, you're fine. Do you want to talk about it in private? We can go to the cabin."
Ruby nodded. "Yeah, I would actually prefer to talk in private."
"Sure." She smiled at her reassuringly before they headed to their cabin.
When they got there, no one was there because they were either still playing, watching, working, or doing something else. Luce sat on her bunk on one side in a crisscross position before patting the spot in front of her. Ruby went and sat down in the same position, both facing each other.
"Speak to me, Ruby. What's on your mind?" She spoke as though she was her therapist and this was a session.
She chuckled before it grew quiet for her. She took a deep breath and sighed. "I feel like you already know this, but I've been with Clancy and he's been helping me with my abilities."
