Chapter 44: Hope

Justin's P.O.V

YN dropped to floor, I saw her eyes slowly close. Many gasps and shock struck through the crowd of people, they were still crowding around her, not even bothering to help or call emergency services, they just looked down at her as if they expected her to wake up any moment. It took me a while to process what just happened because I thought my eyes were misleading me, then reality hit me. I ran pushing people out of the way back to YN, this moment just reminded me when I was about to lose YN when she fell of that storey-building, I was lucky to still have her in my arms and I'm not going to lose her again.

"Get out the way!" I shouted shoving people away, security helped to clear out people away from YN's unconscious body, I kneeled down to YN and caressed her cheek trying to get some sort of response. It saddens and panics me to say it, but how she lied so emotionless made it look like she was dead. I just broke down and let the tears fall down from my eyes.

"YN? Baby wake up," I hushed, still no response, I held her hand but she didn't even squeeze it to signal that she was ok. "Kelsey don't just stand there with your phone in your hand, call 911," I shouted at her, I didn't mean to be so abrupt but I was just panicking. I leaned my head down to her chest to check her heart rate, her heart was barely beating at a normal pace, every time I didn't hear a beat I felt my own heart skip a beat from the suspense. I didn't understand why YN fainted, she doesn't suffer from claustrophobia like me but she does get panic attacks and that's only triggered by something. "Baby p-please, say something," I pleaded, as I held her hand trembling and shaking.

"Justin the paramedics are coming right now, maybe you should stand up-"

"No Fredo," I said, "I'm staying by her side no matter what," I said. The paramedics finally arrived and they rushed to the scene, I backed away slightly so they could help her. They quickly placed her on the stretcher with an oxygen mask, they dragged her out of the airport building with me following them. I saw a fan waving a piece of paper towards me as I ran, I didn't have time to stop for long.

"I know you're rushing, but this is for YN, we hope this will help her," the fan quickly said sensing my urgent rush,

"Thanks, I'll give it to her," I said as I continued to run out. I placed the letter in my hoodie pocket, I was thinking about what the fan said, 'we hope this will help her'. Nothing is going to help my baby girl because I know I'm at the verge of losing her, her heart was barely beating so what am I supposed to assume. The only reassuring thing by my side was hope. Hope that God will pull her through, hope that this wasn't the last time I was going to hold her in my arms and hope that I wasn't about to lose my baby forever.

I jumped in the ambulance before Za stopped me, "we'll meet you at the hospital," he informed, I nodded and sat in the ambulance with the paramedics. The ride to the hospital was expectedly short which loosened my anxiousness slightly, they pulled YN's stretcher out of the ambulance into the hospital building, where they placed her more appropriately onto a hospital bed. Everything in my head was slowing down as if it was in slow motion, they pulled YN through many doors until they reached her available room. I was about to enter the room with the doctors until a nurse stopped me.

"I'm sorry sir, but doctors and nurses are only permitted in her room for now, we're trying to gain her consciousness," she said,

"But I'm her boyfriend-"

"I know sir, but we'll have to make you wait, hospital regulations," she said before walking away. I rubbed my face in frustration and kicked the wall beside me, how could they be stopping me from being with her? I felt the tears flood back to my eyes, I slid my back down the wall until I hit the ground and sat there distressed.
