A/N- although Loki can shape-shift, I choose to write the story like this to show the bond between father and daughter a little more intimately. Hope you guys enjoy the story.
Amara was very well entertained, watching one of her favourite movies, Sleeping Beauty. She loved that movie so much it was frequently played, with both you and Loki knowing every line by heart, much to your dismay. You didn't mind too much though because she was your daughter and you both loved her so much that you would do anything for her.
This proved to be very true a little later on, after she had finished watching the show, and had began to wonder what it would be like to meet an actual princess. She walks up to her father, who was currently relaxing on the couch, reading one of his many books, and looks at him with a patient look on her expression.
"Hello sweetheart," Loki smiles, continuing to look down at his book while flipping a page over, and secretly wondering what she's up to, waiting to see what she's going to say or do next.
"Daddy, I want to meet a princess," she suddenly blurts out, causing Loki to put his book down on his lap, with a slight look of disbelief and confusion painted on his features.
Loki smiles softly at her while he moves the book off to the side, placing it down on the couch cushion beside him and gently picks her up, setting her down on his lap.
"Sweetie, you are a princess," he coos, with a light chuckle, thinking to himself that she probably wasn't going to let this idea go anytime soon.
Amara's expression soon changes from the gentle, patient one she had to one that mimicked a kitten's soft expression with widened eyes, as if she was Puss-In-Boots from Shrek.
"Please daddy, I want to meet a princess," she begs, keeping her expression the same, " one like Sleeping Beauty, she's so pretty," she says, hoping that her father will make her dream come true somehow.
'She's so persistent, must've gotten that from her mother...' Loki thinks to himself, while figuring out how he could make his little girl happy and then an idea suddenly came to mind, a slight smirk forming on his face.
"I think I can do something for you sweetie," he says to her, pressing a kiss to her cheek and then gently moving her from his lap to place her beside him on the couch, " I'll be right back, okay," he assures her, getting up from the couch and heading out of the room, just enough so that he's out of sight.
'The things I do for my daughter, no one else would make me do anything like this ,' he thinks in disbelief, as he uses his magic to make a pink princess dress appear on his body, similar to what Aurora wore in the movie, along with a golden tiara on his head, after bringing his slicked back locks down to frame his face.He then walks back into the living room and approaches the couch where Amara was waiting patiently for her father to return.
"I hear that someone here wanted to meet a princess," he says, adjusting his voice to sound a little bit more feminine, as he sits down beside Amara.
Her face lightens up as she sees her father dressed up like a princess, and instantly moves closer to him to give him a big hug, smiling intensely.
"You're so beautiful," she cheerfully exclaims, after pulling away from the hug.
Loki gives her a small smile and begins to blush lightly at his daughter's kind words, beginning to have a bit more fun than he initially thought he would.
"Why thank you little lady," he replies, standing up to do a brief curtsy in Amara's direction, and then sits back down beside her afterwards, with Amara letting out a soft giggle at the action.
