A/N: This is one of the few Halloween/fall themed imagines that I'll be doing for the next little while. Enjoy! :)

In practically every store you went in there were aisles of candies, spooky decorations and so many different costumes, which of course could only mean one thing; Halloween was near. You were so excited for the holiday, as it was one of your favourites, and that giddiness was shared by your daughter as well. She loved dressing up even if there was no occasion that called for it, and of course she always looked forward to going out trick or treating, collecting as much candy as she possibly could; of course it always helped that she knew exactly how to melt people down, just with one simple look of cuteness, which worked like a charm every single time.

While raking up some fallen leaves in the backyard, you were soon interrupted by the sound of crunching leaves and footsteps running towards you, which was shortly followed by Amara's voice as she stopped beside you, panting however slightly. "Mommy, can we carve some pumpkins, and then go find me a costume for the school party which is happening next week?" she questioned, looking up into your eyes with a soft, almost pleading expression. Oh, how cute she truly was, even though she didn't have to do that with you, yet she still did. You leaned into the handle of the rake, thinking a little about your answer, trying to figure out what time would work best to do everything; considering there was also now a one month old baby in the household who needed tending to around the clock. "We could sweetheart, but it'll have to be sometime when Axel is napping, did you ask your father about this," you responded, a small smile on your features, having a feeling that you knew what her answer would be. Amara nodded slowly before replying with, "yes, he said to ask you." Of course he did, that always seemed to be a popular response among fathers.

After you had finished raking up and then bagging the leaves, which Amara had assisted you with, the two of you went inside and found your husband cradling your son in his arms, feeding him his afternoon bottle. It was apparent that he had just awoken from his nap, which you had put him down for just moments before coming out to work in the yard, leaving Loki to watch over him for awhile. It was a precious sight to behold, and after noticing that the two of you had come back inside, Loki soon approached you pressing a chaste kiss to your lips. "It's nice to see my two girls again," he smiled charmingly, holding Axel closely to his chest. "Loki, we were only gone for fifteen minutes and we were in the backyard," you stated, shaking your head softly at him. He shrugged and as Axel finished with his meal, relaxing his mouth around the nipple, allowing it to fall out, Loki carefully placed the little one over his shoulder and began patting him gently on the back in an attempt to burp him. A loud belch soon followed, causing Loki to coo, "oh goodness little prince," and then put him back in a snuggle hold, which allowed Axel to rest his head on Loki's shoulders while being held closely to his chest.

"So, Amara wants to do some pumpkin carving and go shopping for a costume, which of course you know since you told her to ask me," you stated, smirking softly at him, sweeping a stray strand of hair away from his face. "I was thinking that you and her could go do that together, it would be some nice bonding time for the two of you." Loki nodded and smirked back at you, briefly looking down at Axel before looking back at you. "That sounds wonderful my dear, I'll get our little princess dressed and then we'll head out," he smiled, soon calling out to Amara to get her to come into the porch to get her coat and shoes on, making these things magically appear on the both of them. They then headed out to a farm just a few miles out of town, Amara very eager to get started.

~~~~~~~~
Upon arrival, Amara was very eager to go into the pumpkin patch and was about to run off, when Loki grabbed her, pulling her back towards him. "No, no, no young lady, you can wait for the rest of us." She sighed and crossed her arms in a huff, soon taking his hand and walked into the patch with him. They both scoped the ground below them, searching all over in every direction for the perfect pumpkin, but there was not one in sight. Not just yet anyway. They trudged further through the patch and that's when Amara spotted it, the perfect pumpkin. It was bright and orange, nicely formed and not a single contusion on it. Smooth and not bumpy in the least. She excitedly pointed it out to Loki and he knelt down to inspect it, coming to the exact conclusion which Amara. "Well done sweetheart, this one will do quite nicely," he softly smiled, conjuring his dagger out of nowhere and cut the steam free, picking the pumpkin up afterwards. After finding their back to the start of the patch, Loki paid the farmer and then headed back into town with Amara and the chosen pumpkin. They stopped at the mall, going into the Halloween store to try find her a costume for her upcoming party at school, as well as for trick or treating.
They looked through the various racks, shuffling through all of the different costumes that were available for girls her age, a few of them catching Amara's eye. A unicorn, vampire princess, and Cinderella were among some of the ones that interest her, along with a few others. She didn't know which one to pick and had insisted to try every single one of them on, wanting to do a bit of a Halloween fashion show for her father; which he was more than happy to oblige to, but only because she was his daughter and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for her. She cheered out with glee and rushed into the first available stall, using her seidr abilities to change into the first costume, the unicorn. Then when she was ready, she flung the curtains open and strutted out of the stall, doing all sorts of spins in the little space there was between the change rooms and the waiting area, making her feel as if she was on the catwalk. Loki chuckled softly and watched as his daughter did her thing, soon stopping so he could get a better glimpse of the costume without her wiggling about so much. "I think it looks cute sweetheart, but try on the others just to be sure," he smiled, with her nodding eagerly in response before she rushed off back to the fitting room. Out she came again with the vampire princess one, followed by the Cinderella one, still doing some model-like strutting as she walked out of the room, twirling around like a ballerina. None of them seemed to feel just right to her, no matter how much Loki insisted that they all suited her nicely. Then as they went to look through some more costumes, that's when she spotted the perfect one. An ice queen costume. The idea coming along that she could wear it while in her Jotun form and no one would think of her any differently, thinking that her icy appearance was just a perfectly executed makeup job. "Daddy, I want to get this one," she said, her eyes big and bright like that of a puppy, making Loki instantly melt as he looked down at her. A small smile formed on his lips and he nodded softly in agreement. "Of course princess, anything you want." They then made their way up to the front of the store, after making a quick stop in the candy aisle, getting all kinds of tasty treats to enjoy in secrecy later on, soon heading back home after checking the items out.
"Mommy, we found a great pumpkin and a costume," Amara declared as they walked through the door, a large grin on her features. You quickly shushed her, not wanting Axel to awaken from the nap that you had just laid him down for, and with much luck he didn't hear a sound. "That's great honey, would you like to get started with the carving?" She nodded her head in response, then took hold of Loki's hand, guiding him over to the table as you laid out some old newspaper for the guts to spill onto. Amara had decided to let you draw the design on the pumpkin, informing you that she would like the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland for her jack'o lantern. You soon began to sketch out the lines for the design onto one side of the pumpkin, and then once you were done, Loki summoned his dagger, carefully removing the top and reached in to remove the guts, his face scrunching up into a look of repulsiveness as he felt the slimy insides make contact with his hand. "Oh come on dear, it can't be that bad," you teased, smirking softly at him, "I'm sure there's worse things you've dealt with than that." He rolled his eyes at your remark, quickly finishing the job and then began to carve out the design, more than happy to use his beloved dagger. Amara then placed the tea candle inside, using a spell Loki had taught her to light it up. She looked at the finished product with a proud expression on her features and gave you a hug, soon doing the same with Loki. "Thank you for a very good day daddy." Loki hugged her back and smiled softly while looking up at you, then pulled back to look into Amara's eyes. "You're very welcome princess."
