A/N: This chapter we get more of a glimpse at Axel and meet a few more new characters. Things will really get interesting in the next chapter or two and I'm so excited to write them for you guys. Enjoy!

Whenever Amara wasn't having couple time with Erik or busy studying up for her exams, she would use some of her free time to hang out with Maddie; therefore becoming very good friends with her. The two of them had gotten to know each other over the past six months and loved to go for manicures from time to time or even just take in a movie together, loving the girl time they got. Not that they didn't mind being around Erik but they knew that even if he was polite about it, it wasn't the most fun for him to be waiting around in a nail salon-that wasn't to say that he wouldn't get a pedicure with his girlfriend, he actually enjoyed that experience quite nicely. It was great that Amara was able to hang around this girl, who knew her boyfriend way before she did and be able to trust that nothing would happen between them. With her age difference, she even imagined how Maddie would get along with her brother, who really needed some sunshine in his life as well and so she had decided that regardless of how much work she had to do, Axel and her family were going to meet this girl that following Saturday.

She had texted her the question and reviewed her notes while waiting for a response, hoping that Maddie would feel just as eager as she did for her to meet the very people she grew up around. Ping! Ah look, a text had just come in. Amara smiled to herself having a feeling that it was Maddie, but it had been her father, Loki, who seemed to have nothing better to do than send her some random cute cat memes; one of them being an orange cat fighting with a black cat. Such a classic dad thing to do.

'Haha yes, very adorable dad. The third one you sent reminds me of you and uncle.' Of course while she was writing this, there was a cheeky smirk on her face, knowing that she'd get a reaction out of her father from that remark. Just wait for it...

Ping!  Ah, here we go. Amara prepared herself, setting her notebook down on her bed and restrained a fit of laughter for as long as she possibly could, knowing that once she peered upon the phone screen she would most likely burst.

'Young lady, it does not look like us. How could you say such a thing?'  Even though it was a text, Amara could sense that her father was rather offended. Mission accomplished. She smirked proudly to herself and messaged him back, glancing at the pile of work she still needed to finish.

'Sorry dad, I needed to say it. You know I love you, but I have a ton of work to finish here yet so I'll talk to you later.'  Of course, she knew he'd have something to respond with.

Ping! Yup, there it is, one very fatherly lecture for one said Amara Lokidottir. Marvelous. 'I love you too Amara and that is why I'm about to remind you to stay focused. No one with my blood is going to skimp on their studies but please don't forget to enjoy yourself either. Prioritize and you'll be fine my dear daughter. Now, enough distractions. I'll look forward to the next time we converse.'

That little bit was easier said than done, but Amara still tried to remain diligent with her studies. She had worked for about a good fifteen minutes until Maddie had messaged her back, being overly sympathetic that she hadn't gotten back to her sooner.

'Hey Amara! Many apologies that I am just getting back to you now, I was at yoga. Anyways, I'd love to come meet your family this weekend! Is it cool if I bring my parents along as well? I'm sure they'd enjoy talking with your parents. Again, I'm sorry about my late response.' She could be so adorable that girl, honestly.

Amara smiled to herself and decided that enough was enough with the studying, using her magic to put her books away. Once in awhile with that didn't hurt she figure and it wasn't like anyone would ever find out, especially not if she didn't tell them. She picked up her phone and texted Maddie back, feeling over the moon about what was happening. Though, she had forgotten one minor detail-she hadn't yet asked her family yet about this impending event. Oops, probably should have mentioned that earlier when her father texted her. Oh well, that was an easy fix. She texted her father and asked for permission to bring Maddie and her family over on the weekend, receiving a quick 'yes' as a response. Great, now with that out of the way, it was time to confirm her plans with Maddie. This was going to be such fun, or at least she hoped it would be.
