The sun had rose early on in the peak hours of the morning, with just enough of its rays shining through the tent that Loki and Amara were currently asleep in, minuscule amounts of the light surrounding the top of their heads and making it look like halos above them. Feeling its warmth, Loki had stirred awake from his peaceful slumber and smiled softly to himself as he peeked over at his beautiful little princess, who was still in a deep state of sleep herself, holding onto her blanket with a small smile on her features. He carefully stepped out of the tent, not wanting to wake her, and sat down on a tree stump, watching the rest of the sunrise while being deep in thought.
'There's just something about the sunrise that makes you realize how precious the most important parts of life really are...I have so much to be grateful for; I've found myself the love of my life, who loves me unconditionally, a sweet little daughter, Thor and I have finally reconciled and now, another child on the way, I never thought that I'd ever be so deserving of all of this.....'
His thoughts were soon interrupted when he felt a pair of little arms wrapping themselves around his waist, accompanied by the sound of a child's playful giggle, smirking softly to himself as he looked over to see Amara by his side, looking bright eyed and bushy tailed. He picked her up and sat her down on his lap, pressing a kiss to her cheek, continuing to look out at the sunrise; which was just mere minutes away from being in all its glory, almost fully rose.
"Daddy, can you brush my hair for my," Amara spoke up, looking cutely at her father, with a doe-like expression in her eyes.
"Of course I can sweetheart," Loki smiled in response, making a brush magically appear in his hand, before beginning to take long, careful strokes through her thick, long and wavy dark tresses.
While he brushed out her bed head, Amara began to ramble on about all of the things she wanted to accomplish today, which had included playing a game of tag, taking a nice dip into the lake, enjoying some gooey s'mores, and then had quickly changed topics to the dream she had last night, which involved her being the queen of a kingdom of unicorns and bunnies. The way she had explained it made Loki chuckle quietly to himself, and he assured her that she would make a very good queen one day, in which she had smirked proudly upon hearing the reassurance. Loki was almost finished with her hair, continuing to listen to her talking about some drama that was going on between her dolls, nodding a little to show her that he was in fact listening after she had thought he wasn't, and did her hair up into a neat, gorgeous braided bun, tying it up with a pretty emerald green and gold trimmed bow.
"There, now it won't get so tangled up when we go swimming," Loki stated, showing her how regal she looked by flashing a mirror, with her looking in awe at herself, before hugging him tightly.
They made a quick breakfast of oatmeal with brown sugar, along with some fresh fruit and orange juice, before getting dressed for the day.
Before Loki could even ask Amara what she wanted to do first, she quickly instigated the activity by tapping him on the leg and shouted 'tag you're it' while running around the well-spaced area, giggling away. Loki smirked softly, then began to chase after her, moving in rather rapidly to catch her and instead ended up falling onto the ground with a thud, going through an illusion of herself that she had cast.
'Well played my child,' Loki thought to himself, feeling admittedly proud of his daughter's abilities at such a young age, and pushed himself back onto his feet, continuing to chase after her. Not without a dramatic sigh and eye roll of course though.
He decided to play smart and teleported himself directly in front of her, after he had spotted her weaving between some trees, picking her up by the waist and pulled her close into his embrace, planting her with a generous amount of face kisses. Amara chuckled in response and squirmed around a bit in Loki's strong, yet gentle grasp, begging her father to stop. Which he didn't do right away, instead seeing wanting to see if he could get it out of her how much she loved him, her response being, 'just as much as you love mommy and the tesseract.'
