Kong took a breath of relief when the last part of the bike was finally repaired.
“That looks good, Kong.”
He heard Tutah utter behind him and Kong was smiling to himself.
“Why don’t you give it a try?” Kong said while passing the senior his keys back and Tutah, with little belief and lot’s of hesitation, finally started the bike, and to his surprise and Kong's pride, the bike was working perfectly, there was hardly anything that Kong couldn’t repair.
“You’ve done such an amazing job, eh nong!”
Kong grimaced internally when the senior patted him at the back rather roughly.
“And don’t think of me like a bully, of course you can join the party, but you should be paid for your service.” Tutah passed on some bills to him that made Kong relived and hesitant at the same time.
“There’s no need for this.” Kong said, reluctantly taking the money while feeling a lot better with the little reward for all the hard work he had been putting in.
“Also… can I bring my friend along?” Kong asked.
Tutah sighed, “Okay, I can manage to convince others to let the two of you in, but only you two, and just because you did such a great job on this wreck.”
Kong shrugged, “There’s nothing in the world that can’t be repaired.”
“Uh… well you should see my grades.” Tutah muttered while Kong let out a grin.
Arthit tilted his head slowly with a little smirk on his lips, sitting on the chair by the far end of the hall, hardly caring for the whole ruckus created in the name of a party, his eyes fixed on the boy who had just walked in with one of his classmate… Tutah and damn that nong’s guts to bring along his friend M.
M would be taken care of anyway.
Arthit took a sip while scanning Kong, not bothered to wear anything good but being there in his rather casual and rough blue jeans and white shirt, his friend M already distracted.
His eyes scanning throughout the party and Arthit was faintly aware of who Kong was looking for.
He suppressed his satisfied sigh when Kong's eyes eventually found him, and he immediately started walk to him and all Arthit did was keep his glass back on the table and give a curt nod at the nong without a hint of smile.
“I told you, P', I'll do it.” Kong said before sliding his copy at the table.
Arthit eyed the copy for a second before taking it, gingerly opening it, realising just how many signatures were there before he pulled out his pen and signed without much of a reaction even though he could feel Kong grinning as widely as possible. “You might just as well get all the seniors' signatures.”
“Why? Weren’t you expecting it from us?” Kong asked with a glint of sarcasm, Arthit ignored as he looked at him,
“Now that you’ve come here… enjoy a little.” Arthit said bluntly before reaching for his glass.
“Oh, I just came here to get this signed, I better take a leave, I don’t belong here anyway.”
Arthit smiled, somewhat unsurprised by the younger’s attitude.
“Uh… also please sign for my friend, M, he kind of….” Kong's voice trailed away, looking around but couldn’t find his friend in sight though he was having his copy as well.
Arthit suppressed his smirk, only he was aware of where M was at present.
“I can’t find him, but I swear he came along with me.” Kong said.
“Look, Kong, I don’t do shit for someone who doesn’t even has the decency to get his work done by himself.”
“But-”
“Your friend is not a kid.” Arthit had to control his glare at the younger one who bit his lower lip, struggling to stop himself from arguing with him.
Arthit observed as Kong collected the copies and left, walking through the party in an attempt to find his friend.
