Kong wasn’t a fond believer in fate, coincidences or God.
He definitely didn’t believe even a little in those things, but when he discovered that his ex, his highschool basketball mate, Apin was the elder son of Nattapol, the Kirati guy's advisor, Kong started to believe in some little coincidence.
Well, he hadn’t really known that Apin was actually Nattapol's son until he was actually facing him.
Kong was just trying to get into the advisor, Nattapol’s household, to get into Nattapol’s good books, almost deceive him to believe that Kong wanted greater pleasures and money than he was getting back at Arthit’s.
So his attention was caught by Nattapol’s daughter.
Kong had found his way to reach Nattapol out of the Empire was through his teenage daughter, Maddy, she only liked to be introduced by that name instead of what she called long-terrible-weird-name.
He had reached her when he realised she was looking for a tutor for English, Kong was an all rounder and applying sooner for tutoring and getting his way inside Nattapol’s wasn’t much difficult.
Kong usually met Maddy in the local library, teaching her, getting her to converse only a little and Kong realised that the girl was an actual headache, those stereotypical teenagers weren’t looking so stereotypical infront of her, she wore mostly black, the emo phase, the scowl stuck to her face, hardly any care for her clothes, usually in hoodies, she always looked ready to fight and flip up her middle fingers if anyone got even a little on her nerve.
Kong knew how to deal with kids like that, sooner or later, he got the teenager to talk about her family, a sweet mother yet too old school and forever bickering, her dad, as she spoke, wasn’t much involved in her life, and Maddy seemed to not like him, it took about a week of their hourly tution session until Kong got it out of her.
So, as it turned out, Nattapol was downright homophobe, looked down on them, and…. Maddy was a lesbian, barely sixteen and dating some girl from college, well, as it turned out…. It was Praepilin from his own class.
Not that he cared, not that it mattered to him.
He got her to talk more between her lessons, Nattapol hardly was home for his family, was mostly stuck with Kirati, Maddy mentioned that Kirati had once had dinner with her family, seemed quite a creep, as per Maddy’s words, he was a total prick, totally checking her out and then advising her father to control her daughter before she becomes a brat.
Kong was extra nice and at the same time, mirroring her arrogance from time to time to make sure that she totally was under his grasp, and soon enough she had invited him over at Nattapol’s house for one of the tuition lessons.
Kong had never imagined that he would be facing Apin of all the guys, right in Nattapol’s house, there by the door, opening it for Maddy and then freezing when his eyes fell on Kong behind her, well, they both were reflecting each other’s shock.
Kong had heard Maddy tell about an elder brother, who was mostly apart and out….
Apparently some hot shot who got a basketball scholarship and left to America faster than anything.
Kong… not even in his wildest dreams would’ve thought that hotshot to be bloody Apin, looking way taller than the last time Kong recalled, his stubble, his muscles defined under the blue t shirt he was wearing, Kong almost felt like turning away and running, Apin looked like he was a total hunk.
“Kong?”
“Do you know each-other?” Maddy asked once Apin had uttered, no more glancing at his sister.
