A/N: Just wanted to warn once more, it's darker, and there's talk of drugs and there's violence, I'm marking this story Mature.

_________

Kong realised that there were certain things that were changing in his life, he felt as if his life was moving on too fast for him to even catch up, after all the time he spared out for meeting M in the hospital, there were certain developments that weren’t good...

The kid at the orphanage, Mark, was recently down with a serious flu that meant him to be separated from all the other kids which added a little more burden on Kong’s shoulders as he took time to visit the kid too, and on the other hand, the orphanage’s caretaker, the Uncle, recently passed away due to old age.

It wasn’t like the orphanage was his responsibility but Kong was still worried about it.

But not all developments were bad,

Recently he topped his class in the semester’s test, and quite a lot of friends were there to support and most of all, the unexpected cold senior.

Kong found himself hanging out with P'Arthit more than once in a week which a big thing considering that the senior hardly talked to anyone other than Knot, and even Knot didn’t seem to stick around more than an hour around him.

But what was strange was that Kong started to trust Arthit a little more but at the same time, was a little sceptical about him, even though the senior was around to help most of the time, but there was something that Kong never felt too comfortable around the senior.

Sometimes Arthit would start to talk about things that utterly confused Kong, asking questions and observing him as if Arthit was actually studying him, sometimes it felt like Kong was sitting for some interview just by talking with the senior but eventually, Kong found himself getting used to that too.

“Ok, brother, I still think you should be resting for some more days…” Kong said even though he helped M to get off the hospital’s chair, he had barely managed to hold M's arm when he felt someone grab his wrist away, not letting him help M.

“Let him manage on his own, Kong, you’re not going to be there for him all the time.”

Kong tried to smile on seeing Arthit enter, pulling him away from M while M staggered a little on his feet but didn’t utter a word, his head was bowed as if he was acknowledging and ignoring Arthit at the same time.

“M…”

“Yeah, P'Arthit’s right.” M uttered while managing to walk a little on his own.

“I’ll get your crutches.” Kong pulled his wrist away from Arthit’s hold as he picked up the crutches and placed them for M to walk with, the injuries were still grave, and it was such a hassle knowing that Kong could literally do nothing to help his friend.

Kong couldn’t recognise the men who had done this to M and thus they weren’t able to report the incident to police because even the police wouldn’t be able to track down two men in an alley that didn’t have surveillance cameras.

“Oh, this all fine, you’re troubling yourself unnecessarily.” M said while still reluctant as Arthit was carrying his bag.

“It’s nothing.” Arthit said rather bluntly and M  looked away, all the times Kong had brought along Arthit, it always felt like Arthit was here only because of Kong, the way Arthit spoke nothing more than four words to M in all those visits, M suspected that Arthit only had this spot for Kong, but again M never spoke about it, it wasn’t his business afterall, but one thing he was sure of, he wasn’t fond of this senior at all even though Kong hardly grasped it.

“These questions are rubbish, do these, and M, you better catch up with your notes.”

Arthit was commanding rather than advising while Kong was going along and passing his notebooks and assignments to his friend who hardly seemed in the mood to study, it was understandable given the fact that M was just discharged from the hospital after a month long of surgeries, the least Kong could do was to let M rest and be comfortable.
