Kong had barely caught any sleep, hardly caring to wash up as he clumsily pushed back his mess of hair with his hands while munching down the cold stale bowl of noodles before he walked out of the compound, he hadn’t been conscious of the hoodie and trouser he was wearing until he found Arthit who just looked him up and down, he instantly remembered who it belonged to.

But the older one didn’t comment on it, gave a rather amused expression before Kong noticed the man standing behind him, like a bodyguard, before giving anything more, the older one just turned and started walking along with his follower and Kong didn’t hesitate to follow them closely.

They reached a rather isolated part of the property, a concrete ground and rather rough and dingy place for anything.

“Oh, this is Thanabop, you have to fight him.” Arthit was yet again too casual to sound believable as Kong furrowed his eyebrows.

“What?” Kong almost blurted out just how burly and dangerous this man looked, how could he fight him?

“If you don’t manage defeat him, then you're not attending college today.” Arthit said slumping on the nearby chair as usual while Kong had to face this man, who looked like he could kill Kong with a snap of his fingers.

Kong swallowed hard, already knowing he would end up more hurt than ever, but somewhere deep down the thought of seeing M again was giving him hope, he might just try to fight.

But it was of no avail when he felt the first punch across his jaw which would’ve shattered his jaw if Kong hadn’t already covered it with his hands while the force made him land on the harsh concrete ground.

Kong wanted to go to college.

It felt like he was going to die just by how much he was bearing by every second, successfully defending the blows sometimes but failing miserable and landing with a few more bruises and wounds through it all.

How was he going to defeat this gigantic sadist who looked in no mood to go easy on him, it was strange to recall that it hadn’t been even twenty four hours since he was last struck down by that Thanawat guy.

Hell! This was the first thing he was facing the first thing this morning? The sun hadn’t even risen yet!!

Maybe it was partially Kong's strong wish to see his friends again that fuelled him enough, maybe it was just the adrenaline run in his veins or maybe it was just the harsh glare thrown his way when he dared to glance at Arthit when Kong had once again fallen to the ground.

But it finally snapped back to him, he finally fought back.

Kong almost screamed out in frustration and satisfaction when he managed to kick down the man away from him, he kicked some more before punching him hard in the gut, suddenly Kong felt like he was twelve all over again, practicing the moves of Taekwondo with the instructor,

He still remembered how he was made to go through the Taekwondo lessons after the insistence of his therapist back in the orphanage, how he had confessed to the therapist who visited to his orphanage on weekends, he had told her what had happened to him, and the therapist for once had tried to fight for him and even filed a case against the caretaker but it was to no avail since there was no evidence against the caretaker and Kong was a scared kid to speak anything.

So the defeat led the therapist to yet again encourage Kong to protect himself, she had never given up on him, she had introduced him to Taekwondo, the therapist was the one to take him to the classes and pay for it, as a way for his self defence and Kong felt his love for Taekwondo all over again, the joy it brought just to be able to learn something that not everyone knew about in his orphanage, Kong was trained in Taekwondo for four years of his life before he had decided to move out of the orphanage.
