Kong was standing in solemn silence, staring down from the railings, down at the city lights that light up their world like making the stars of their own world that humans gave way too much importance than they actually thought, afterall, not everyone of them had really seen fragility of life and when it all ends, nothing would matter at all, neither their existence, nor their world.

Kong didn’t think again before climbing onto the frail railing, his eyes focused up at the open clear sky, air blowing through his billowy shirt as he spread his arms in the air like his wings and closed his eyes, feeling the coolness of the air, the city lights sparkling around beneath his gaze and the sky so welcoming and smiling at him.

And just like that, Kong felt his step ahead in the nothingness and the next thing he knew he jumped off the building.

For a moment, it felt like he was flying…. He was free until reality started to hit him…. He was falling…. To his death.

Kong woke up with a loud gasp, feeling himself relax when he made sense that it was just a nightmare, he was there, in a loose shirt and sweatpants under those sheets, warmly tucked in and the space beside him was empty, he felt suffocated despite how comfortably he was tucked in.

He felt the beads of sweat all over him, his breathing coming down to pants and his eyes wide, he took his time to control his breathing before he heard him,

“You okay?”

Kong lifted his gaze away to find Arthit entering with a cup in his hands, ready in his college uniform to leave.

“Fine…” Kong managed to utter and felt a gasp escape his lips as he mistakenly moved his left arm.

“Wait.” Arthit uttered as he kept the cup of coffee on the nightstand and helped Kong drag himself to sit and wiped off the sweat with a clean shirt before helping him slip his left arm into the shoulder immobilizer.

“Th… thanks…” Kong hissed out in breaths and Arthit gave a little nod.

“You should rest, okay? I'll get a nurse around if you need it….”

“No, I'm fine.” Kong said before feeling his gaze locked with Arthit’s as the other sat beside, cupping his face in his hands and leaning to give a brief peck, making Kong almost pout for more before he moved away.

“I've got to go to college, then I’ll be down at my office, I think I will just inform the authorities and all, I don’t think I can continue college with my work…. Might stay there for sometime and then-”

“I’m coming with you.” Kong said.

“You should rest.” Arthit said sternly.

“Wait by the car, I'll be there in ten minutes.” Kong said, ignoring his words as he got off the bed, he hadn’t even realised when he had worn those sweatpants and  shirt when he had been a naked, entangled mess of limbs with Arthit under the sheets. Maybe Arthit had dressed him up.

Arthit sighed before leaving the room, knowing it was no more in his hands to control him in any way.

And that was scary.
