Kong was expecting the grandeur of the office, it was natural just the way he had seen Arthit's lifestyle exposing in front of him, it wasn’t a surprise at all to find the grand building with people working their necks off and how all those employees started to rise from their seats and greeting with their heads bowed but Arthit wasn’t even acknowledging their presence, just walking past it all and gradually into an elevator, Kong had followed closely behind, now intensely silent in that proximity of the lift while Arthit had tapped the button for the seventh floor, as if his office was away from all the chaos of employees that work under him.

Kong noticed Arthit’s little restless tapping of foot, like he was thinking vigorously about something, like something was ticking him off and at the same time, the cool sway of his fingers over his phone, rather casual like there was nothing bothering him and Kong already noticed the dual nature of this man, too many things maybe infuriating him and at the same time, there being this boyish coolness like he couldn’t care less about it all.

As soon as the door opened on the seventh floor, Kong felt fear trickling down his spine.

He saw past Arthit’s shoulder at the man standing with a confident smile.

The same man who had beaten the crap out of him the very first time in this Empire, the one Kong couldn’t fight.

“Oh Tanawat, you don’t know how much you were missed.” Arthit uttered getting out with Kong behind him, keeping an arm around the taller man while Kong awkwardly followed them.

“Any lead on Chanchai's men?” Arthit asked, glancing back at Kong only for a second before turning back to the man.

“Actually yes, one of our major dealer… George, was shot dead in his own little hide-out, definitely a work of the Chanchai's men.” Tanawat shrugged, gradually sliding Arthit’s arm off his shoulder and walking ahead.

Kong could already sense some kind of awkward discomfort this Tanawat guy had around the Heir.

“And your father is still ‘MAD' mad over your decisions.” He said and Arthit rolled his eyes as they gradually walked into what was definitely Arthit’s office, couch by one side, a little bigger table with some chairs as if some meetings took place here which might have not consisted of anyone from a lower post in this business, a classy work desk with a computer and some files, everything was so immaculately maintained that Kong found himself gaping that the whole place.

“Firstly he's trying to hide your chick from the other families, knowing that they’ll start to talk shit and get you down…. Then this impulsive act of yours not to research enough on Chanchai and just killing him off like a piece of cake! And over it all, did you really sent a parcel containing Chanchai's fingers to his wife?!”

Kong felt a shiver run down his spine as he tried not to act like he was listening to them while Arthit had settled down on his desk, going through his computer and grinning a little,

“That was funny.” Arthit was commenting and Kong was finding it too hard not to look at him, horrified, what kind of psychopath was he?

“Really? Do you know how dangerous that was?! Do you realise what would have happened if she found out from whom it came?!” Tanawat was pretty much freaking around Arthit was sitting there rather coolly.

What bothers this boy?

Kong felt himself wondering, unaware how his eyes were fixed on Arthit, a little in confusion.

“And then this boy.”

Kong was instantly aware of his too long for a gaze at Arthit when the two of them suddenly looked at him.
