The Rojnapat property was huge, Kong had known that but now as he jogged another 100 rounds around it.

He had started to make sense of the whole campus, there was Arthit’s mansion, it was in the main property, aside from that, there was another house away, it was Tanawat’s house, living there with his wife, and then there was the house which was grander and in the centre of the property belonged to Mr Rojnapat himself, the king, all the other houses around the main property were housing the major men of the Empire, major men of Mr Rojnapat since Arthit was yet to take the throne.

And once Arthit takes over, Kong had no idea whether the same men would be there in these houses or not.

Though Kong never came around to meet Mr Rojnapat since the first time when that man had literally gave the death sentence for him but he knew Arthit’s relationship with his father wasn’t on very good terms either, he made sense that Arthit talked to his dad before and after every meeting he attended but that seemed like the only interaction they had, Kong hardly ever heard about Mrs Rojnapat though.

He knew Arthit was enraged as the way Kong had dared to talk to him the other night so making Kong suffer more than usual, hardly giving him the rest as Kong completed the rounds, then going in for the shooting practice, then having a fighting session with another of men of Arthit.

By the time it was all over, Kong felt too tired but he had no choice but to freshen up back at his room before heading with Arthit to college.

Where he was in the hazing gathering, Kong couldn’t help himself as he stood up for his friends once again and started to bicker with the Head Hazer P'Prem, eventually leading him with 150 push-ups until Arthit interfered and Kong had to do 250 push-ups and two laps of the ground.

Considering that he was getting used to jogging around, laps weren’t difficult but pushups sure were, and the fact that Arthit’s eyes didn’t waver from him at all was what made Kong even more conscious, he didn’t know why but he found himself taking extra precautions, even though he was drenched in sweat, he still made sure he showed no sign of discomfort or exhaustion at all.

Once done with college, Kong was at Arthit’s office but wasn’t facing Arthit, instead he found himself facing Tanawat, apparently Arthit was the highest level that Kong wasn’t meant to approach until greater issues had to be discussed and Kong was there in Tanawat’s cabin presenting all the information and conclusions he had came up with.

There was this thing with Kong, he did his work messily, lying around with papers and books and scribbled whatever important wherever he could find a blank space, even taking out the worn out poster of his room as he scribbled behind it, but when it was all finished, the teacher, in this case the supposed boss Tanawat was facing a complete systematic and neat presentation of files and documents.

Kong had strangely realised he worked somewhat like this whole Rojnapat business itself, the dirty business of smuggling drugs, weapon mafia, prostitution and who-knows-what-else was hidden under the clean presentation of a business of oils and textiles.

Kong had got the idea that police was aware of the illegal shit that happened under this clean surface of business but they never had the evidence and some of the high ranking officers were under the Rojnapat’s shoes with the money they made to keep shut.

“I know you held back some of the information, and I know it’s not easy to trust a newbie and out of all the newbies a person like me but I do my work sincerely, it would’ve been of great help if you had given me those details, it would’ve confirmed my suspicions over this guy.”
