“Are you out of your mind!”

Kong had woken up to those words, hardly opening his eyes while his head pounded with the hangover and he felt Chiya standing somewhere.

“Good morning.” Kong sighed out before stretching his arms and finally opening his eyes, a little startled to see how angry Chiya actually looked, as if she had been keeping it all in just to burst up at that moment.

“Do you realise I was thinking about you the whole night! I couldn’t sleep!” She was freaking out.

“I swear, Chiya, in another dimension where I'm straight, we could’ve been a couple but-”

“Will you stop joking around!” She shouted and Kong finally looked at her, she was actually scared and furious at the same time, her eyes were bloodshot, her already thin frame looking thinner under the oversized shirt and jeans.

She was definitely not looking like herself.

“You’re trying to seduce Arthit, why are you putting yourself in this mess!” She was deliberately forcing herself not to shout too loudly but Kong couldn’t help but smile at her, reaching to pull her close so he could hug, so he could dodge this whole thing but she was in no mood for it, she moved away and glared at him.

“Don’t do this, Kong!” She shouted again.

“Are you in love with him?” Kong asked a little too abruptly as he saw her freeze and then sigh before slumping to the floor, burying her face in her palms.

“It’s not like that, Kong….” She looked so exhausted, as if she was tired of facing the same kind of questions from Kong.

“Look, this is exactly why I am worried, you don’t understand these kinds of relationship, we just screw around, sex is all that it boils down to, but I've seen you…. You don’t seem like that the guy who can separate his emotions from sex, you’re gonna be so messed up, Kong….”

“Chiya.” Kong held her arm a little firmly while kneeling in front of her as she lifted her face to meet his gaze.

“I’ll get you out of here.” He said so confidently and he saw the unsurity in her eyes as she tried to look away but couldn’t.

“I don’t want to get out of here.”

“Do you realise the possibilities of life?” Kong tried to speak politely.

“You’re being such a fool, Kong, don’t do this. I chose to sneak around with Arthit, I made my life better, I don’t want to get out of here, this is my life, but Kong…. You have your whole damn life to protect, your identity to make.” She said, she looked troubled as if she desperately wanted to say something but couldn’t, something was stopping her.

“Kong, listen to me, please! I beg of you! Don’t get attached, treat me like any other person of this Empire, treat Arthit like the monster he is, no one in this Empire is right, every one of us are wrong, so terribly messed up that is beyond repair, and the only person who can be saved is you, Kong. Only you. You need to step on the littlest dirt possible, save yourself, don’t get yourself deep into this that you’ll never be able to get out of it.” She said, she had never spoken like that before, never uttered a word against Arthit or this Empire.

“In protecting me, you’ll make a fool of yourself, Kong.”  She tried to speak again.

Kong knew she was aware that Kong wasn’t going to be swayed away from his firm thoughts of getting her out and still she was trying her best anyway.

They remained silent like that for a few minutes, letting the time pass by before he saw her internally freaking out when she looked around.

Even Kong had forgotten about it but then immediately remembered the condition in which his room was in.
