Kong didn’t know when he walked up to the compound but he knew it was past midnight, he was exhausted to core, feeling his legs shaking a little, he froze when he realised the lock of his door was open, Kong gulped, strange anxiety settling in before he twisted the doorknob to get inside.

It was the last person he wanted to see today.

“Finally decided to return?”

There, Arthit was sitting on the floor with his back against the bed's leg with Kong's laptop over his lap, wearing rather casual clothes, a sweatshirt and trackpants, Arthit looked way too ordinary than the bloody prince of this empire.

Were any of the workers around aware that their worshipped master was right there in Kong's room?

“You did quite a research on everything, didn’t you?” Arthit said.

Kong didn’t have the energy to face him at present.

He sighed out before dragging his feet towards the bed, hardly caring as he flipped and dropped to the hard bed with a thud, groaning a little for the way exhaustion was getting to him, his legs were still at the side of the bed, beside where Arthit had been doing whatever-the-hell-he-was-doing with his laptop.

“Why are you here?” Kong uttered.

“Just to check up on your room, you know, safety measures.” Arthit shrugged.

“So…. You were at the club, and later at Tanawat's place.”

Kong felt his eyes were burning and heavy to open, his eyes were slowly fluttering as he tried to open but he knew he was damn tired for anything, and top of it all he couldn’t face Arthit, he wanted to rip his throat off and dump his body in some ditch, he couldn’t tell him about his conversation with Chiya,  or the hours he had just spent at Tanawat’s place to find any kind of information he could find on Chiya.

Kong had gotten nothing more than the fact that Chiya had a terrible childhood and a more horrible teenage years, her father had died with snorting another line of cocaine down his nose not long after she was sold, and her brother was shot down by a street gang with whom he had picked up a fight.

Her family was no more and there was no one out there she could return to, Kong had bitterly realised that the only closed ones she had were in this messed up world.

She didn’t socialise with many, just a couple of acquaintances at club, some bodyguards who sometimes were around her, she barely had a few conversations with Tanawat but they never seemed to hold much exchanging other than a few words.

And she was terribly dependent on Arthit for her survival.

Kong had to think of something, to get her out of here, she could have a new life out in the free world.

“I was… my friends wanted to visit a strip club, the place was their idea and I hadn’t known..” Kong's voice was slurring as if he was drunk.

Maybe he was, he had a few many drinks back at the club.

“What about Tanawat? Why were you at his place.”

Arthit wasn’t sounding angry, he was just blunt and simple in his words, Kong could hear him keeping the laptop down, shutting it before he felt him sitting beside where he was half lying on the bed.

“Is there something I need to know?”

That you’re a prick, have no regard for privacy, too much in my head, and… and… just die.
