My alarm clock was screaming in my ear. I smacked it with the back of my hand and stretched as I got out of bed. I looked at my timetable to see what classes I had today. Wednesday. Art. History. Religious Studies. Gym. Geography. Ugh great. The only decent lesson of the day was art, the rest was just pure boredom with a slight amount of torture mixed in.

I took a quicker shower than usual this morning. I blow dryed my hair, but I didn’t straighten it since it didn’t look too bad for once. I applied all my make-up and then went downstairs to have breakfast.

I’d completely forgotten about my love bite from Spencer and couldn’t work out why my mom was frowning at me. This obviously made her rant about Spencer and blah blah. I just pretended to listen as I ate my cereal whilst rolling my eyes.

Art went the same as it usually did. About 5 minutes of painting mixed in with gossip from the girls. Art was seriously the best lesson when you were feeling lazy. History and Religious Studies dragged quite a bit, but none of the work was difficult which is good when you’re feeling even more lazy than usual. Lunch went the same as it always did. It was essentially the same as when we go to get coffee except we can’t talk about people on surrounding tables unless you want their food thrown in your face.

I did my best to do as little as possible in gym, just like I always do. I took my time getting changed and took an age trying to get my hair to go into a semi-decent ponytail which killed a bit of time even though I was being yelled at to hurry up the whole time. Do gym teachers not realise that looks are important?

As the bell rang at the end of gym class I made my way into the main building of the school and walked up 3 flights of stairs to get to my class. I’ve just been to gym class and now all these stairs, are they trying to kill me!

I copied Savannah for the small quiz we’d been set since Geography was her best subject and she didn’t care if I copied as long as I got a couple of answers wrong so Mr Asher couldn’t tell. After he collected in everyone’s quizzes Mr Asher thought it would be a good idea to give us a project to do. Ugh. He mentioned partners so everyone got excited and then he did what all teachers do and crushed everyone’s dreams by saying he’d already assigned us partners. Seriously I swear teachers try to ruin our lives as much as possible.

‘Liam Barnes and Finn Blake.’

‘Katie Norton and Ellie Loom.’

‘Savannah Miller and..’ Please. Please. Please. Please. ‘Thomas Cartwright.’ Damn!

‘Derek Jones and Kristen Williams.’

‘Jodie Harper and Bailey Greenwood.’

‘Jenna Clark and... Luke Henderson.’

What?!

Seriously?!

I could feel my heartbeat picking up slightly, but I tried to pretend that I was imagining things and tried to put it to the back of my mind.
