I ran up the stairs to English even though I knew I was late. As I entered the room Mrs Walker started yelling at me just as I expected. I couldn't even care less at this point. I just wanted to go home. I'm sick of Spencer. I'm sick of Courtney. I'm just sick of everyone to be honest. After she'd finished her little rant about me 'not taking school seriously' I went to my usual desk and sat down. Unfortunately I had to sit next to Courtney. Yay.
I could hear everyone whispering and caught people looking over at me. It was making me nervous. I really like Luke. I really do, but I wasn't exactly ok with anyone else at school knowing. I mean I have a reputation to keep up, right? Ugh. I hate school so much.
'Told you this wasn't a good idea.' Courtney hissed in my ear as Mrs Walker's back was turned. 'It's all Spencer's fault, he's such a dick.' I was still annoyed at him. Courtney just laughed in reply. Come to think of it how did Spencer even know I was with Luke at the party?
Near the end of the lesson Mrs Walker had to leave the room to take an important phone call or something. I turned to Courtney. 'Do you have any idea how Spencer found out about me and Luke?' I picked my words carefully, making sure I didn't directly accuse her since she'd probably throw a bitch fit if I was wrong.
'He had to find out some time or another, Jen.'
'What is that supposed to mean?'
'I told him.' She replied calmly. Stupid bitch.
'Why?' I said sharply.
She rolled her eyes. 'I was hoping that he'd make you see sense. You just can't be seen with Luke, it would ruin your life.'
'You're meant to be my friend Courtney!'
'I'm just trying to do what's best for you.'
Ugh. I hate her so much! She's meant to be my best friend, why doesn't she want me to be happy! As soon as class was over I walked quickly out of the classroom and down the stairs. There was no way I was waiting for Courtney. I thought about texting Luke and asking him to drive me home, but I decided against it since the last thing I needed was for everyone to see us together. I'll just have to walk. Great.
The second I got home I checked my Facebook just to see what people actually knew about me and Luke. I had no notifications apart from a few likes from my profile picture I posted a week ago. Who is still even looking at that, seriously? At least that was a good sign. I had 12 new friend requests. Nosy nosy. I accepted all of them anyway. I also had 5 messages.
Two of them were from Spencer. The first one was just full of him ranting and calling me a bitch and a slut. Nice. The second one was him telling me not to read the first message and him begging me to take him back. Fat chance of that happening. Dick head. The other three messages were from three different girls that I barely ever speak to, I'm lucky if I can even remember their names. They're all being nosy little bitches and asking me if anything is really going on between me and Luke. As if I'd tell some girl I barely ever speak to! 'I'm always here if you need me babe.' Yeah so you and your shitty friends can spread rumours about me to try and make yourself more popular. You wish.
