After jumping apart before we'd just been cuddling on my bed watching some tv. I wasn't really watching what was on, I was too busy enjoying the fact that I was lying in his arms with my head resting on his chest listening to his heartbeat. 'I love this.' I mumbled into his chest.

'What? Watching crappy tv?' he said smiling at me.

'Noooo.' I said laughing. 'Being with you, idiot.'

'I love it too.' he said squeezing me tighter and lightly kissing my forehead.

After a while I was looking at Facebook on my phone. 'My relationship status is still set to single, do you think we should change it?' I asked Luke.

'If you want to.' he said looking a bit surprised.

'Yeah.' I said smiling. I tapped on the screen and changed it to in a relationship with Luke Henderson.

We went back to watching tv and after I while I checked my phone again. People kept writing mean comments about us on Facebook so I started going through them and deleting them all, at least Luke wouldn't have to read them now as long as no-one else commented on it. Why do people care so much about who I want to date? How does it affect their lives?

After about an hour I could hear someone knocking on the front door and ringing the doorbell. I got up and looked out of the window. My mom's car wasn't here so I had no idea who it was. I leaned a bit further out of the window to see if I could see who it was. 'JENNAAAAAA!' an unfortunately familiar voice screamed. Ugh why can't Courtney leave me alone? 'What?' I shouted back at a more reasonable volume.

'Get down here now, I need to talk to you!'

'Can't it wait?' I asked feeling exhausted. I couldn't be bothered arguing with her anymore.

'You're with him now, aren't you!'

'So what?' I replied defensively.

'You're ruining your life Jen.' She said knowingly.

'I don't care.' I replied.

'If you don't come down here now I'll...'

'You'll what?' I questioned her.

'I'll never speak to you again.' she said harshly.

My first thought was good. Then I realised I'd probably lose my other friends. Then I realised that I wouldn't be popular anymore. Why can she change my life so easily? Why does every single choice I make affect how my 'best friend' treats me? Why can't everything just be simple?

'You can go and talk to her if you want.' Luke said quietly.

I sighed and thought about it for a moment. 'No, it's ok.'

'Are you sure?' he asked.

'Yeah, if she was a good friend she'd want me to be happy instead of treating me like crap all the time.' I'd made my decision. Hopefully I wouldn't regret it...
