Thursday dragged past slowly as usual. Me, Tamzin and Savannah were in history, our last class of the day. Thank god. We were meant to be doing research in a group, but none of us had even bothered flicking the page in the textbook or picking up a pen in the last 25 minutes of the lesson.

I checked my watch. 15 minutes left to go. 'Guys, do you want to come back to my place instead of going for coffee. I mean there's this party at Dylan's tonight that we have to get ready for that anyway so we might as well just start getting ready instead.' Tamzin said in a lazy voice.

I shrugged my shoulders 'It's fine with me.' I replied.

'Same.' said Savannah.

'I'll text Courtney then.' Tamzin said whilst reaching her phone out of her bag.

When school ended Tamzin drove us to my house so I could pick up my dress, shoes and make-up so I could get ready at her place. We repeated this for Savannah and Courtney before we reached Tamzin's house.

After about an hour of gossiping we decided to start getting ready. I plugged in Tamzin's curlers and waited for them to heat up. Then I started curling my hair. When I'd done I pulled apart the curls a little bit to make it look more natural. Savannah used the curlers when I'd done with them, and Courtney and Tamzin were both straightening their hair.

Then I started on my make-up. I did all the basics, foundation, concealer, etc. Then I decided to skip the eyeshadow and just use my liquid eyeliner, I made sure to wing my eyeliner of course. Then I decided on a pale pink lipstick.

After I'd perfected my make-up I got changed into my dress and changed my shoes. I looked in the mirror and was pleased with what I saw. Then I looked round at the girls who all looked fabulous. We took a group picture and uploaded it to Facebook. In under 5 minutes it already had over 40 likes.

We decided that we'd get taxis there and back since we all wanted to drink. We were let into Dylan's house by someone I didn't know. The music was deafeningly loud and you could tell that there was definitely no alcohol shortage from the atmosphere in the room. We all went into the kitchen to go get drinks. As I picked up a cup of something I felt Spencer's arms wrap around my waist. 'Hey babe.' he said sounding slightly tipsy.

'Hey.' I giggled and hugged him back before pulling away.

We'd been at the party for a few hours now, I'd spent most of the time dancing with Tamzin, Savannah and Spencer. Since Courtney had disappeared upstairs with Dylan about an hour ago. I'd made sure to only have 2 drinks since I didn't feel like having a hangover or puking my guts up in front of everyone.

A while later the party had died down a bit with quite a few people leaving. Courtney had reappeared with her hair slightly messed up and a smile on her face. 'Seriously Court, are you ever gonna get with Dylan, you hook up with him at every party we go to.' Savannah asked bluntly.

Courtney's smile dimmed for a few seconds 'Whatever.' she replied rolling her eyes. I knew Dylan would definitely never commit to having a girlfriend, but I knew that Courtney preferred a few hook ups than not having any contact with Dylan at all. I felt a bit sorry for her since it must be horrible to be in that position.
