Y/N's POV
"Pretty empty today, huh?" Jae asked as I nodded to him with a smile on my face."Yeah, seems like nobody wants to grab a drink today." I chuckled as I kept wiping the counter, even though it was already clean. I was just wiping it because I was bored. "Do you want something to drink? I still have to practice how to mix drinks and this is the perfect opportunity."
"Do you want to get me drunk?" Jae asked with a chuckle but still nodded "Sure Mr. Bartender, mix one of your best drinks for me."
"Your drink will be right there, sir." I joked and heard him laugh.
After some minutes I finished mixing his drink and pushed the glass with a little bit of force so it slid all the way to Jae like in those old movies, causing him to widen his eyes.
"That's actually possible?!" He asked, making me smile "I thought that's only a movie thing."
I just shook my head as I grabbed my own drink and walked around the counter to sit down next to him since no customers were here anyways except for my best friend Jae.
"I thought so too until my boss taught me how to do it." I smiled as he took a sip of his drink.
"You have to show me how to do that as well!" He said enthusiastically, making me smile even more.
"Sure, I can do that for you if you want to." I chuckled and the room quickly turned pretty quiet after that small conversation.
Some minutes passed in complete silence while we were just drinking our drinks and sitting next to each other. This might have been an awkward silence moment with any other person but not with Jae. We have been friends for forever already and we just got so used to each other that we could literally do anything without it getting awkward.
I finished my drink and placed the empty glass onto the counter as Jae furrowed his eyebrows.
"Do you have a new backpack?" He asked, looking to the corner behind the counter, where a black backpack was and I just shook my head.
"Nope, somebody forgot it around 6 months ago and never came back to get it back from us." I answered and immediately saw Jae's smirk.
"How about we check out what's in there?" He asked and I immediately shook my head.
"Sorry man but I'm not allowed to. My boss would kick me out if he saw that." I sighed as Jae looked at me with a sad expression.
"Come on! You can't tell me that you're not curious about it." He tried to convince me but I just shook my head once again.
"Never gonna do that." I refused and I heard him drink up his drink with a little bit of annoyance.
"Fine!" He said and stood up from the stool "I have to go now, it was fun talking to you."
I just nodded to him as he walked out of the bar and sighed, going behind the counter once again as I placed the glasses into the sink and looked to the clock.
"2 am... Looks like it's time for me to go home." I sighed as I washed my hands one last time and walked over to a room where I changed back into my normal clothes.
I grabbed my jacket and was about to walk out of the bar but one thing caught my attention, causing me to stop.
"Nobody would realize if that backpack would be gone." I whispered to myself, my eyes fixed onto that bag. "I'm kinda curious now."
I just shrugged my shoulders as I ran back to the counter and grabbed the bag, checking one last time if someone saw me.
I quickly ran outside with the backpack on my back and shivered when I felt how cold it actually was outside.
