Aila's P.O.V
Exam week is a hell week. I've spent mostly all of the my free time in the library. Well, my mom and dad are not those kind of parents na kailangan nasa honor lagi yung anak. They are the kind of parents na when you do your best, okay na sila. Masaya na sila. And I'm a lucky child to be their daughter.
But still, I'm a grade conscious. I want my grades higher. Ayokong bumababa ang grades ko pero kahit na ganon, pagka naramdaman 'kong inaantok na ko, matutulog ako. Your health is more important than your grades, dear.
Carl and I talk about what happened last week about Jasmine's debut. He told me that it's okay if I still can't forgive Justine but I should stop thinking about it because it won't do good to my mental health. That guy seriously have a future of being a psychologist.
"Bes!!" Kirsten called me when I entered the canteen. Beside him was Christian who's reading his, I think, reviewer.
"Thank God you're here. Mababaliw na ko dahil wala akong makausap. Itong si Christian kanina pa review ng review. Duh, dali dali ng mga exam e." If I'm a grade conscious student, kabaliktaran non si Kirsten. Well, her grades are fine pero hindi sya yung tipo ng student na magpapaka puyat para lang mag review. She's a 'chill' one.
"Madali lang pero kalabit ka ng kalabit sakin kaninang time ng Math." Sabi ni Christian. Pinanlakihan sya ng mata ni Kirsten.
"Wag ka ngang maingay! Tsaka ilang beses lang yun no! May nakalimutan lang kasi akong formula, tss." Tinawanan lang sya ni Christian habang ako naman ay pumila na para bumili ng pagkain.
Carl texted me na hindi nya ko mahahatid mamaya pauwi because tito Lorkan asked him to do some things. I told him it's okay. Besides my mom and dad will treat me later. Before daw sila mag bakasyon ay ipags-shopping muna nila ko dahil hindi ako makakasama sa kanila sa Siargao. Well I can call it even.
"Oh asan nga pala si Carl?" Tanong ni Kirsten pagkatapos nilang magtalo ni Christian.
"Umalis, may inutos daw sa kanya si tito."
"Oh okay well are you free ba later? Mags-samgyupsal kami ni Carl mamaya do you wanna come?"
"May date kami nila mom and dad mamaya and besides baka makaistorbo lang ako sa date nyo so, no thanks." Pang-aasar ko sa kanila.
"Hoy grabe ka never ka naging istorbo no! Si Christian pwedeng maging istorbo pero ikaw bes hindi hihi." Sagot ni Kirsten sabay yakap sakin. Natawa lang ako at sinamaan naman siya ng tingin ni Christian. Ang kukulit.
After our exams my mom texted me na they are on their way na raw to pick me up. Nagpaalam na ako sa mga kaibigan ko bago lumabas ng room.
After a few minutes dumating na sila mami. Sa malapit na mall lang kami pumunta para hindi na rin kami gabihin ng uwi. We are all tired pa naman.
I just bought some new clothes and skin care products for me and also for Carl. My mom insisted to buy me a new laptop but I told her that my Macbook is still working pa naman. She is always so thoughtful lalo na when it comes to my studies.
After namin mag shopping we just ate in a restaurant and then umuwi na rin kami agad.
I messaged Carl na nakauwi na ko, it's been more than an hour pero hindi pa rin siya nagr-reply. Naisip ko na tawagan siya pero baka busy nga siya kaso kasi gabi na, I'm kinda getting worried. Hindi ko na namalayan na nakatulog na pala ko kakahintay sa reply nya.
