Drip, Drip
Water hits water
Sending melodious tones into the air
Closing my eyes I can almost imagine
Back to when it rained straight for days
Running
Smiling
Jumping
Laughing
Splashing
Screaming
I sit in the shower for hours
Letting the water hit my back
Harder
More pressure
To unbearable heat
Closing my eyes
Feeling the day washed clean
Pitter patter, pitter patter
Just listening to the water come down
Imagining back in time
To when it rained
Rain was a joyous occasion
Something to run out an celebrate in
It was never sad
Or depressing
Or lonely
I't was exciting
And happy
A beautiful occasion
But now it rains no more
So I sit in the shower
Plip, plip
Imagining back to when it rained
