How I wish I were a girl
Able to hold my chin up high
Screaming on the top of my lungs for woman's rights
To twirl in dresses
And engage in meaningless chatter
Fawn over boys
And get swept off my feet
To be able to do anything in heels
Smile with thick red lips
And have a tinkling laugh
As my small shoulders bounce up and down
I wish I could swerve my hips
Pout my lips
Grow my hair long
Paint my face interesting shades
And engage in intricate fashion
I wish I was happy with the chromosomes and parts I was born with
But I'm not any of that
