Chapter 31

Percy's POV
We were now a couple of minutes away from Camp Jupiter. Thalia has tried talking to me but I just kept ignoring her. I try to stay away from everyone whether it's scouting ahead for monsters or just running off in front of everyone. I don't even sleep anymore. I do one of the first things chaos ever taught me which it's called a death trance or I just say I'll keep watch. I'm fairly certain I have rings around my eyes and if I do I'm glad I have my hood to conceal them. I was a bit in front of everyone else. As soon as I reached the front gate of Camp Jupiter I stopped and waited for everyone else to catch up. The gates opened revealing Hazel, Frank, and Reyna. The looked at me confused but I just kept a blank face. They finally noticed Artemis "M'lady what are you doing here?" Reyna asked Artemis.
"Camp half-blood was destroyed by End and his forces, so the campers were forced to come and stay here for a while," Artemis explained.
"I'm sorry to hear that, everyone is welcomed within our walls," it's been a long time since I've stepped foot here. It feels like a lifetime ago. We walked inside Camp Jupiter and I just headed away from the others. I decided I was going to go to the Colosseum. Little did I know that two little girls were following me.

No fights were going on. At least not right now but there were people training. Everyone looked at me when I walked in. I just ignored them and went to a training dummy and trained for a bit. "Hey you in the hood," some said getting my attention. "How about me and you have a dual" I just shrugged and went to join him in the middle of a crowd. The boy had brown hair and hazel eyes. He also had a smirk on his face. Just by the look of him, I knew he needed his pride deflated and that's what I planned on doing. I pulled out my sword and waited for him to make the first move. He ran at me and tried to stab my stomach but I just disarmed him and threw him over my shoulder. I then placed my sword at his throat. The boy glared at me but nodded his head in defeat. I started walking away when I heard Maria shout "Percy look out!" I quickly turned around and caught something that was inches away from my face. It was a dagger. I glanced at the boy who was now pale. "Don't do that again," I said coldly and walked away from the crowd

"Percy are you ok!?" Maria asked running up to me with Alice following closely. "I'm fine girls," I said kinda harshly. "Sorry girls, I didn't mean to sound so rude," I apologized. "Percy you've been acting really weird recently. Is something bothering you?" Maria asked me. "No everything's alright I've just been thinking a lot recently," "anything worth sharing?" "Maybe another time," I said standing up. "I'll see you, Later girls," Now I had to see where I was staying for the time being. After walking around for a bit I finally ran into Reyna. "Hello there sir," she said looking at me with a confused look. I forgot I had my hood on. I quickly pulled it down and saw Reyna's eyes widen, "Hey Reyna," I said sheepishly. "Oh, my gods I wouldn't have guessed it was you, where have you been?" "I've been around,"
"That doesn't exactly answer my question,"
"I know and I swear I'll tell you eventually but I'm really tired and need somewhere to stay," I explained. "Oh, um we've given everyone rooms in an apartment complex, I was supposed to give this key to you," she handed a key to me and I glanced at room number. "Thanks, Reyna, it was really nice seeing you,"
"You too Perce, but before you go I just wanted to tell you that you'll be sharing with a few people." I let out a sigh "do you know who?" I asked "um I think it's Thalia, Leo, and Piper," I froze. How the hell was I going to do this?
"Uh Thanks, Reyna," I said and walked towards the apartments. I bet Reyna will hate me once she finds out what I did to Jason. She didn't seem to have been told.

Was I ready to do this? Absolutely not. I opened the apartment door and was relieved to find it was just me. At least for now. The place was actually pretty nice, and lucky for us it already had furniture. I think I'd actually enjoy staying here for a little while. I heard the front door open behind me. I turned around and saw it was Leo "oh I thought I'd be the only one for right now," Leo said looking around "sorry, if you want me to leave I'll go," I offered "no it's not that it's just...with everything that's been going on and staying strong for Piper it's been hard recently. "Do you blame me?" I asked Leo "no I don't Perce, I know it wasn't your fault. It's Ends" "does Piper blame me?" "No, I don't think she does..." "How's Thalia? Is she doing ok?" I asked him. "It's been rough for her, she's afraid your going to kill yourself Perce. She really worried about you," Leo explained.
"I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about doing it" I replied honestly. Leo stood up and placed a hand on my shoulder "you should talk to her Perce," Leo suggested. "Ok I'll talk to her next time I see her," "good, now I have to go find piper. I'll see you later Percy" Leo said walking out of the apartment.
