Chapter 33

Percy's POV
I now had a headache from that mess of a council meeting. I really did mean it when I said I'd go by myself. If it meant protecting everyone I would do it in a heartbeat. I pulled out the orb from a pocket on my robes and stared at it. I then heard my bedroom door open. It was Thalia. "You okay?" She asked sitting down on my bed. "Yeah I'm alright, I just have a headache. So how was the rest of the meeting?" Thalia laid back and let out a sigh "it was still a total mess. I don't know how we're going to do this" I went to respond but on glare from Thalia shut me up "don't think I haven't forgotten about what you said, there's no way I'd let you go by yourself" I smiled at her "I know Thalia," I then leaned over and gave her a quick kiss before continuing. "You'd beat the shit out of me before I could even try,"
Thalia just laughed "that's putting it lightly," I was going to pretend to use the orb but I want to stay alive so that's a not gonna happen.
"Percy? you there?" Thalia asked snapping her fingers in front of my face. "Huh," said snapping out of it. "I asked you something," "sorry Thalia, what were you asking?" "I asked how long you think it'll take for the council to make a decision" she explained. "I'm really not sure, hopefully in a day or 2" "yeah hopefully,"
I laid and closed my eyes with a sigh. I felt Thalia lay down next to me and put her head on my chest. "I love you, Thalia," I said wrapping my arm around her waist. I felt Thalia snuggle up closer to me, "I love you too Percy," I then fell asleep with a smile.

I saw chaos being chained to a wall. I tried running towards her but my body wouldn't move. Chaos had a bruise on her cheek and dried tears painted her face. "Well hello, sister," End said walking up to Chaos with a sadistic smile. "What do you want?" Chaos replied weakly. "Is it wrong to talk to my sister?" End said lightly caressing her cheek. "You just want something from me," End stopped caressing her face. "I'm unable to control Perseus now, so I'm afraid I have to kill him," Chaos eyes widened "no please don't hurt him," she begged. End leaned closer to Chaos "you're in no position to bargain sister, I'll be back and I'll bring Perseus's head with me. Chaos started sobbing and End started laughing. Its honesty was a total shock to see Chaos this...broken. End turned and looked right at me. "I'm coming for you Perseus," he said and left the room leaving behind a still sobbing chaos.

I finally woke up from my dream. I glanced at the clock which read 9:30. I sat up and glanced at Thalia's sleeping figure. I finally got dressed and walked outside. The day was nice but after that dream, I had earlier I now had this uneasy feeling. I've tried distracting myself but the feeling never went away. Hazel and I talked for a bit. It was nice to talk to her again; I've missed her a lot. Other than that the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. That's why I was currently in a library searching to see if we have anything on End. I've probably gone through at least a hundred books by now and haven't found one thing about him. "I've never thought I'd ever find you," a voice said behind me. I turned around and saw Annabeth giving me a sad smile. "People can change Annabeth," I said and went back to looking through the library. "I didn't mean for that to sound cold, sorry Annabeth" I apologized. "It's alright, so what are you looking for?" She asked. "I'm trying to see if we have anything on End. I've gone through maybe a hundred books and have nothing. It's like he's been erased from history," I explained. "I'm sure they have something on him," Annabeth walked over to the bookshelves and looked around; occasionally pulling out a book or 2. We kept looking for about an hour and still haven't found a single thing. "See what I mean?" I asked Annabeth who was still searching "no there has to be something," Annabeth replied "well I'll let you keep searching. Let me know if you find something," I said walking away.

I'm almost certain Annabeth wanted to talk but I really wasn't in the mood. I still haven't talked to Thalia all day and to be honest, It kind of sucked. I was now walking back to my apartment. As soon as I opened the door an explosion knocked me back. "Ow," I moaned and sat up. The apartments closest to the front door were blazing. I quickly ran inside to see if anyone was inside. "Is anyone here!?" I called out. "Over here," I heard faintly. I ran into the living room and found a man on his knees coughing. "C'mon let's get you out of here," I said kneeling down next to him. He looked up and that's when I noticed he had glass in his eye. I lifted him up and helped him stand. I waved my hand to burst the pipes in the apartment to extinguish the flames. When we got back outside I sat him down. I looked around and saw someone running towards us. It was a woman. "Carson! Are you ok!?" She said kneeling down next to him. "Thank you so much," I went to respond but a loud bang followed by another rang out. "Get him to safety now!" I ordered and ran towards the gate. I knew exactly what it was. It was End. He was here for me.
