"Oh Dipper you'll be fine!" Mabel Pines said, as her brother, Dipper, did his best to walk off of the stage without falling over.
"Mabel I can't feel my legs." Dipper muttered, right before tripping over his own feet.
Mabel ran to her brother and helped him up. She slung one of his arms over her shoulder and pulled him outside to where their Grunkle Stan was waiting.
"Whoa Dipper! You look like you got hit by a bus!" Stan exclaimed with a laugh.
Dipper ignored the comment and sat in the back of the car besides Mabel. The reverend costume that Bill had put on for Mabel's sock play when he was in Dipper's body was itchy and uncomfortable. Dipper couldn't wait to get out of it and get a good night sleep.
"Hey do you want to talk about... You know." Mabel asked.
Dipper shook his head and stared out the window, watching the scenery zoom by in a blur.
Mabel threw a sad smile in Dipper's direction, even though she knew her brother wouldn't see it. She felt terrible about everything, and what Bill had said was upsetting her.
"Who would sacrifice everything they worked for for their dumb sibling?"
Bill's words echoed in Mabel's head. The evil triangle had a point. Time after time again, Dipper sacrifced for Mabel. Mabel never even thought twice about how much discovering the password to the laptop had meant to her brother. She decided right then and there that she would help Dipper with it as soon as they were both awake the next day.
A while later, the car pulled up outside the Mystery Shack, the Pines' residence. Wendy, one of the gift shop employees, was standing outside, her back to the wall of the house, drinking a soda.
"Hey Dipper!" She said with a wave, as Dipper walked inside.
"Hi Wendy." Dipper said glumly, and didn't say anything else.
Mabel knew something was bothering her brother. He never missed an oppotunity to chat with Wendy!
"Hey Mabel! What's up with your brother?" Wendy asked as Mabel walked by.
"I wish I knew." She replied.
Mabel climbed the stairs to the attic bedroom she and Dipper shared. She opened the door just as Dipper finished pulling on a t-shirt. His back was to her and he hadn't heard Mabel walk in.
"Dipper?" Mabel said quietly.
Dipper jumped, obviously not expecting his twin.
"Yeah?" He asked, turning to face Mabel.
Mabel tried hard not to cringe. The bags under his eyes had become much more noticable after Bill had used what was pretty much Dipper's remaining energy. His hair was a complete mess and the reverend costume was tossed lazily on the floor.
"Dipper are you sure you're alright?"
"I'm fine. Just tired." Dipper lied.
"You don't look 'just tired.' You wouldn't even talk to Wendy!"
"Well maybe I'm just a little shocked to have gotten possessed by a demonic triange!" He snapped.
Mabel flinched. Dipper rarely yelled at her; or anyone for that matter. Watching her tired brother flop on to his bed, Mabel decided to leave him be for now. She softly closed the door and went downstairs to watch TV with Stan.
Dipper laid on his bed staring at the ceiling. His eyes soon wandered to his Journal, which was sitting on the table between his and Mabel's beds. Dipper fought the urge to pick the book up and turned on his side so he was staring at the wall. An image of Bill flashed in his mind and Dipper shuddered. Pulling the blankets up under his chin, Dipper quickly fell asleep.
