"So you see, your brother was stupid enough to think I'd actually give him the code to the laptop." Bill said.
"Hey!" Dipper said, glaring at Bill.
"Quiet Pine Tree." Bill ordered, turning his attention back on Mabel. "Your brother was sick of sacrificing for you. I told him all I wanted was one of your puppets in return, buuuut that's not what I really meant."
"Wait, Dipper, you were going to give Bill one of my puppets!?" Mabel questioned.
"Mabel! I was Bill's puppet!" Dipper exclaimed.
"Ahahahahahahaha it's too easy to turn you two against each other!" Bill laughed.
"No it's not!" Mabel said.
"Yeah! It's not!" Dipper agreed.
"You'd be surprised..." Bill said mysteriously. "Anyway, stay out of trouble Pine Tree. I'll be needing you shortly."
Bill snapped his fingers and disappeared. As he did so, the Cipher Medallion flashed once and then returned to its normal state. Color quickly bled back into the room, signaling that the twins were no longer in the Mindscape.
"I was not expecting the triangle guy to show up." Mabel admitted.
"And what did he mean by he needed me later?" Dipper added.
"I don't know but I think you should get rid of that medallion... Wait, didn't that thing fall of the roof and like, explode?"
"Um, yes."
"Then how..."
"I have no idea. I found it under my pillow last night." Dipper said.
"Hey dudes! What'd I miss?" Soos said suddenly, walking into the room with a bag of burrito bites. "I stepped out to get some food. Want some?"
"Uh we're good." Dipper said.
"Soos! The triangle guy is back!" Mabel exclaimed.
"That guy is really freaky dudes." Soos said.
"And he's stalking Dipper!" Mabel added.
"Mabel he's not stalking me!"
"You don't know that!"
Dipper rolled his eyes. He pulled the medallion off over his head and flung it on his bed.
"Ok, so maybe the medallion is the problem. If I just leave it off, nothing should happen right?" Dipper said.
"Well it's worth a shot." Mabel said.
"Yeah dude. Smart thinking." Soos agreed.
"Kids! Soos! We're going mini golfing! Whoever gets the highest score out of everyone tonight wins free food!" Stan yelled from downstairs.
"Haha yes! The mini golfing Queen is going to win us food!" Mabel cheered.
"Mini golf! Mini golf!" Soos and Mabel chanted as they exited the room.
Dipper ran over to his bed and picked up the Journal. There was a note taped to the cover.
I'll be watching you, so don't try anything...
~Bill
Dipper tore the note off the book, letting it flutter to the floor. He nervously stuffed the book inside his vest.
"Dipper! Hurry up!" Stan yelled.
Dipper glanced one more time towards his bed, his eyes falling on the medallion, before shutting the door behind him. He hoped the night of mini golf would take his mind off of Bill, and his lingering promise.
