Chapter 9 - Two in One

After several lame movies, Dipper and Wendy's eyes hurt from staring at the TV. Popcorn littered the floor and the empty bowl was upside down on Wendy's bed.

"Well that was fun." Wendy said.

"I think we did more talking than watching the movies." Dipper pointed out.

"You're probably right, but it was still fun."

"Yeah."

The two of them looked at one another. Wendy shut the TV off and they began to clean up the mess they had made. Wendy's room was soon clean again.

"I better get going." Dipper said picking up the medallion from Wendy's night table.

"Alright I'll see you later Dipper. And stay away from that thing. It's crazy weird." Wendy said.

"I will. Bye!"

"Later man!"

Meanwhile, back at the Mystery Shack, Mabel and Soos had been setting up a trap for Dipper.

"So Dipper will walk into our room..." Mabel began.

"And this rope here on the floor will be right in front of the door." Soos continued.

"Dipper will step inside it..."

"I'll pull it tight around his ankles..."

"Then I'll tackle him and start the tickling!" Mabel finished.

"Or if it fails I'll just restrain him while you do the 'interrogation.'" Soos added.

Just then they heard a door open and close; then footsteps coming up the stairs. Mabel and Soos looked at each other and got into their positions. The bedroom door opened and Dipper walked in.

Soos pulled the rope, causing Dipper's legs to be pulled together and he fell face first.

"What the heck!?" Dipper exclaimed.

Soos and Mabel came out of hiding. Soos pulled the blinds down over the window. Mabel closed the door and shut the lights. She pulled out a flash light and shined it in her brother's eyes. Dipper squinted in the light.

"Mabel! What do you want from me!?"

"Oh you know what I want Dipper. What happened between you and Wendy that night?"

"It was nothing! Can't you just let this go?"

"NEVER!" Mabel yelled.

"Hey girl dude, maybe this isn't the best idea." Soos said. "I mean, we shouldn't tie Dipper up like this."

"Soos I thought you were going to help me here!" Mabel said disappointedly.

"Well I was but this is kinda getting out of hand."

"FINE! I'LL DO IT MYSELF!" Mabel yelled.

She turned a light on and flicked the flashlight off, tossing it on to her bed. She walked over to Dipper and sat besides him. Then she began to tickle him.

"Ma- HAHAHA -bel stop! I'm se- HAHAHAHA -rious cut it HAHAHA out!" Dipper exclaimed.

He was writhing and squirming on the floor, trying to do anything to get away from his sister.

"Tell me and I'll stop!" She pestered.

Suddenly the floor beneath Dipper began to glow in a triangle shape with Dipper at its center. The rest of the room darkened to different shades of grey.

"ENOUGH!" A voice yelled.

The triangle slowly levitated off the ground and began to get smaller and smaller. When it finally reached the perfect size, it flashed and the face of someone the Pines twins wished they had never met appeared: Bill Cipher.

"Jeez that feeling, tickling is it? That's so annoying!" He said.

"Bill!? What do you want?" Dipper demanded.

"My demands haven't changed kid, and if I remember correctly, we still made a deal."

"But you broke your half! The deal is off."

"Oh no it's not." Bill said, an evil glint in his eye.

"Dipper what deal? What's he talking about?" Mabel questioned.

"Oh this one hasn't heard, has she? Why don't we tell her Pine Tree? After all, she deserves the truth."

"Don't you dare..." Dipper warned.

"Oh I dare. And what could you possibly do to stop me?" Bill taunted.

Dipper looked glumly at the floor.

"That's what I thought." The triangle said. "Now where were we? Oh yeah, why Pine Tree and I made a deal!"
