Dipper and Mabel weaved in and out of trees, and dodged bushes and plants. The roar of jet packs could constantly be heard throughout the forest. Every so often, the twins would catch a glimpse of a soldier or hear one of them shout an order. After what felt like hours, the twins collapsed by a small pond. Mabel laid flat on her back and Dipper sat besides her, both of them panting hard. Their cheeks were red and their feet hurt from running on the uneven ground for so long. They had lost the soldiers, for now, but the jet packs could still be faintly heard.

"Dipper." Mabel croaked. "You don't think we summoned these guys, do you?"

"No way, we couldn't have. The last time that Blendin guy showed up, he just used his time traveling tape measurer." Her brother replied.

"I just don't understand! Why didn't Bill show up? Is there something in the Journal about a delay when summoning him?"

"I don't know. I'll check." Dipper said.

He reached into his vest for the Journal, but the only thing his fingers found was an empty pocket. Despair quickly over took the male Pines twin as he frantically began searching his person and the area around him for the book. Mabel was watching Dipper with a worried expression the whole time.

"Mabel it's gone! My pocket's empty! The Journal could've fallen out any where!" Dipper exclaimed.

Dipper flopped back down in the grass besides his sister, putting his head in his hands. Mabel said nothing, knowing her brother wouldn't want to talk. However she began to rub smooth circles on his back to comfort him.

"This can't be happening!" Dipper said sadly, picking his head up to look at Mabel. "The only thing that could've helped us is gone, and it's all my fault."

"Aww Dipper don't blame yourself. I mean, who would honestly think about a book if they were being hunted by an army of men from the future with weird space guns." Mabel said, giving her brother a small smile.

Dipper looked at the ground again and began fiddling with a piece of grass. He picked it, and began rubbing it between his thumb and pointer finger before letting it drop. Dipper sat up suddenly as he felt two warm arms wrap around him in a hug.

"C'mon bro-bro." Mabel said. "Let's find a way home."

Mabel pulled Dipper up off the ground and the two of them began walking back in the direction they had come. The twins had no idea where it is they were going or which way the Mystery Shack was, but retracing their steps was a start. Already being tired from running, Dipper and Mabel's progress was very slow. Before they knew it, the sun was setting, casting rays of pink, red, and orange across the tree tops of the woodlands. By the time the moon was directly above them, and the stars were out and shining brightly, Dipper and Mabel finally stumbled into the clearing by mere chance. Giving each other tired smiles, the twins used their remaining energy to sprint the rest of the way back to the Shack.

Being knocked unconscious in his demon body; that was new. Bill's eye opened slowly to find himself inside a tiny cube of suspended energy. Experimentally, the Dream Demon stuck a hand out to touch the force field. It shocked him so violently it actually hurt, not to mention the fact that the cube actually drained some of Bill's energy upon contact.

Recoiling from the pain, Bill was careful to levitate only in the very center of the cube so he wouldn't touch any of the energy walls. The demon was still trying to figure a few things out: One, why is it that everything was colored? Bill was here, so technically the Mindscape should be too. Two, Bill had never been able to touch or feel anything unless he inhabited a human body, so how was it that suddenly he could feel things, like the shock from the force field? Three, Bill was never bothered by pain before; he found it hilarious. But this time, the pain hurt; a lot. Why was that? And finally, where in the world was he?

"So you're awake." The commander said, stepping towards the box.

Bill wasn't sure if he just hadn't seen the man, or if he had just come into the room. The demon watched the commander closely, but said nothing.

"How do you like our little prison for you? Bet you're surprised you can't simply phase through it."

Bill still said nothing. He tried to read the man's mind, but got nothing. It was like this stupid box was preventing all of his powers. The demon could feel angry energy radiating through his body.

"Not talkative are we? You seemed to have plenty to say back in the clearing." The commander said, a smirk on his face.

Bill was becoming increasingly annoyed with the man and his snide 'I think I'm smarter than you because of your current situation' comments. The commander really had no idea what he was capable of and was definitely pushing the limit.

"Well at least tell me this, Bill, have you ever seen this before?"

The commander held up the Cipher Medallion that Dipper had found in the forest. Bill thought he had taken it, no, he knew that he had taken it. Surprised by the medallion's sudden appearance, Bill couldn't keep his eye from widening; the commander took what he could get.

"We thought you would find this familiar. Funny how a stupid twelve year old kid would stumble across it, when we've been looking for it for centuries." The commander mumbled the last bit under his breath.

"Pine Tree isn't stupid. He's probably smarter than all of you idiots combined." Bill scoffed.

Funny how an insult towards Dipper would be the first thing that makes him speak up. Not to mention Bill was defending the kid.

"Taken a liking to two little children, huh?" The commander asked. "The Pines twins... Boy are they trouble makers..."

"Ha! Do you really think I'd ever befriend any of those stupid humans?"

"No. But that's one of the two impossible things that are possible today."

"Two?" Bill raised his eye skeptically.

"After today, a Dream Demon will be no more."

Bill laughed in total disbelief. The demon was so sure that he couldn't be beat. Nothing could kill him, even if he was inhabiting a human body. The body would die, but Bill would not.

"You really are so full of yourself, aren't you?" The commander asked.

"Commander," Bill began, actually addressing the man for once, "there's a reason why things are given the title of impossible."
