It had been about two months since the last time I heard from Mingi and any of the Ateez members. I hadn't even heard from seonghwa.
Were they still not allowed to contact me, or was it just that they didn't want to? I hadn't been able to stop thinking about it. And I definitely couldn't stop thinking about Mingi. Was he thinking about me too? Did he miss me at all? Why couldn't he just answer my calls? Just once.. would be enough. I wanted to explain everything, even though it meant he would hate me. At least he deserved to know exactly what I had done.
- Another one!
I yelled at apples, my fathers personal assistant. He had worked for our family for 20 years. The reason I called him apples, was because when I was younger he would always bring me candy apples when I was upset.
- you're going to break something.
He said.
I was currently hitting baseballs with a bat in the living room, trying to ruin the picture of my father above the fireplace.
What sort of person had a picture of themselves on display like that anyways?
- just one more.
I said.
Apples threw one more baseball up in the air, and I hit it as hard as I could. Finally it hit the picture, ruining it. There was literally a hole in the middle of my fathers face.
- did you see that!?
I yelled, and laughed.
- your father is going to be really mad at you.
He said, and sighed.
- good.
I said.

My father hadn't really been talking much with me the past two months, because I kept asking questions about my mother. He didn't even bother having dinner with me, so I always had to eat the food our maid prepared, alone.
I was completely alone again.
But this time it wasn't what I wanted.
I wanted Mingi.
And I missed Hongjoong too..and Yunhos aegyo. And Seonghwa's weird questions.

At least I still had my cats. But they always ran around the house, and the house was pretty big. So I didn't see them too much.
At least they're having fun.
Unlike me. The only thing I found amusing was ruining my fathers stuff and stealing from his liquor cabinet.

Apples got a phone call, so he left me alone in the living room. I went over to my fathers picture, and took a selfie with it. I almost sent it to Chanhee but then I remembered I was still upset with her... I wish I could just forgive her. I needed someone to talk to.
After a few minutes, apples came back.
- your father would like to have dinner with you later.
He said.
Really?
I almost felt happy about it. But it didn't mean I would actually eat with him.
- tell him no thanks.
I said.
- I already said you would.
He said.
- damn it apples you're supposed to be my friend.
I said.
- your... friend?
He asked me, and it looked like he wanted to laugh.
- never mind.
I said, and left the living room.

I went to the kitchen, to look for something to eat. Our maid was in the kitchen, washing the dishes. She had been working all day, cleaning our house. She looked so tired.
- go rest. I'll finish it.
I told her.
- I can't.
She said.
- my dad isn't even here.
I said.
- that doesn't mean I can take a break whenever I want.
She said.
I decided to stop bothering her about it. She was clearly too afraid to get fired, to take a break. I sat down by the kitchen table, and asked if she could get me something to eat.
- what do you want? I can cut some fruit for you.
She said, and smiled.
- how about... a crayon?
I asked her, and smirked.
She just looked at me for a while, not saying anything. But then she started laughing, so I laughed as well.

After eating some fruit, I decided to go up to my room, and read a book. But I probably wouldn't read a book. I would definitely stalk all of Ateez's social media pages. I had done that a lot lately. It was the only way I could see them, after all. I was about to go up the stairs, when apples called my name.

I found him in the hallway, holding flowers.
- if that's from my father, just throw it in the trash.
I said.
- I don't think your father would give you fake flowers.
He said.
Fake flowers?
- Give me those.
I said, and took the flowers out of his hands.
It was pink... fake roses.
They're from Mingi.. aren't they?
I ran out of the house, and looked around.
He wasn't here. Why would he send me those and not come here?
Why did he do this to me? Why did he have to remind me of him when I couldn't even get to see him?
I was so sad.. and my sadness turned in to anger pretty quickly.

• Mingi's POV•

After two months, Hongjoong still hadn't given me my phone back. He still think I was the one that took the notebooks from his room. But I had my suspicions on who it actually was. It must have been seonghwa. He had asked me where they was after all. But he denied it. I had asked him if I could borrow his phone to call Sungyeon, but he wouldn't let me. So I asked him if it was because he liked her, and wanted to keep me away. But he denied that too.

We had the day off, and suddenly Seonghwa had come up to me and asked if I wanted to see Sungyeon. He had apparently found the address to her house. And of course I wanted to see her. It was all I had wanted for the past two months. Seonghwa said I could see her, but not approach her. So I decided to get her some flowers, and leave them at the door. I bought fake ones, because I knew she would hate it if I gave her real ones. She would get upset because the flowers would eventually die.
After Seonghwa put them in front of her house and nocked on the door, we hid behind a fence.
A man came outside, and picked them up. Then he went inside, and closed the door.
- let's go.
Seonghwa said.
- no, I want to see her.
I said.
- I don't think you will. Not today at least.
He said, and sighed.
We were just about to leave, when we heard the front door opening again.
It's her.
I wanted to walk over to her, but seonghwa wouldn't let me. He literally held me back by holding on to my sweater. Sungyeon was just standing on the front porch, looking around.
Was she looking for me?
- I think she's crying.
Seonghwa said.
It did look like it, but then she looked really angry. She walked over to a trash can, and threw the flowers in it. Then she started cursing, and kicked the trash can, so it fell over.
I really shouldn't have done this..
the worst part was that Seonghwa was smiling for some reason.
