the next morning I woke up with a headache that felt like a hangover. It was probably because I hadn't been outside for a while. Or maybe it was because of the dream I had. It frustrated me so much that it had to end before the best part.
Was it not allowed to kiss someone in a dream?
Maybe that's why it ended so quickly. It wasn't the first time I had dreamed about Mingi. It was probably the seventh time. But this time i got so close to what I wanted.

I decided that I would take my cats outside to play in the garden. Which turned out to be a bad idea. I had totally forgotten that we had a pool, and Milk went over to drink from it. Then she fell in.
Can cats swim?
Can they even drink pool water?
I realized that my cat couldn't swim at all. So I took off my dress as quickly as I could, and jumped in the pool. I grabbed Milk, and put her back on the grass.
- you're just as stupid as me, aren't you?
I asked her.
She just looked at me, and sneezed.

- You talk to cats now?

I looked up to see Seonghwa standing in the garden. How was he here? Why was he here?
- how dare you just show up after ignoring me for two months??
I asked.
- because... I missed you.
He said.
- you missed me? That's funny.
I said.
- are you mad?
He asked, and laughed.
I was about to answer, but then I realized I was in... my underwear.
Oh god.
- Can you turn around??!!
I told him.
- why?
He asked.
But then he looked at me.. my body.
- I'm sorry.
He said, and turned around.
I got out of the pool, and put on my dress again.
So embarrassing.
- did you get a good look?
I asked him, making his face red. If I have to be embarrassed so should he.
- how did you even know I was back here?
I asked him.
- some women told me so.
He said.
- my maid? She wouldn't have just let you inside.
I said.
- oh, I told her I was your boyfriend.
He said.
- you what?
I asked, making him laugh.
- I obviously didn't mean it.
He said, and sighed.

We walked inside the house, and went to the living room.
- what's up with the picture over the fireplace?
Seonghwa asked me.
- I have no idea.
I said.
- you did that, didn't you?
He asked me.
- I might have.
I said, and giggled.

- you came here for a reason, didn't you?
I asked him.
- I destroyed them.
He said.
- destroyed what?
I asked.
- your notebooks.
He said.
- you did?
I asked.
- I told you I would help you.
He said.
I didn't know what to say, so I just gave him a hug. After we broke the hug, seonghwa suddenly removed a strand of hair from my face.
He's too close now, isn't he?
I took a step backwards, and laughed awkwardly.
- I should go now.
Seonghwa said.
- ok.
I said.
I didn't really want him to leave. It was nice to at least get to spend some time with one of the Ateez members.
- I'm not done helping you, Sungyeon.
He said.

After seonghwa left, I went to my room.
I didn't understand what more he could do to help me. But I guess I would just have to wait and see.

• Mingi's POV•

I was getting tired of not having my phone. But I guess Hongjoong still didn't trust that I wouldn't call Sungyeon. He was right, after all. I would call her. I didn't believe what Hongjoong thought she had been doing. It had to be a good explanation for it. She wouldn't do something like that, would she?

I was sitting in the living room with Hongjoong, and I decided I would ask for my phone back.
- give me my phone back. Or I'll tell my mom.
I said.
I really wanted to laugh at my threat to call my mom. But I was pretty desperate.

- why should I give you your phone back? It's not up to your mom if you get to have it or not.
Hongjoong said, and laughed.
- I've literally been miserable for two months because of you.
I said.
- because of me? If anyone, it should be because of Sungyeon.
He said.
- can I please just get it back?
I asked.
- what will you do with it if I give it back to you?
He asked me.
- play games on it. I'm so far behind and San is teasing me about it.
I said.
It wasn't really a lie. San did tease me about being seven levels behind him.
- I'll give it back.
He said.
- really?
I asked.
- if you give me the notebooks. I have to show them to our manager.
He said, and sighed.
I guess he didn't really like the thought of giving them to our manager. Because we would all get in trouble.
- I told you I don't have them.
I said.

Hongjoong was about answer, when seonghwa came out from his room.
- the notebooks are mine. They always were.
He said.
- what?
I asked.
- I made them as a joke when I was at Sungyeon's place.
He said.
- are you really telling the truth?
Hongjoong asked him.
- Yes. I took them from you, because I wanted to throw them away. It was just a stupid.. joke.
Seonghwa answered.
- oh my god...
Hongjoong said.
Was he believing seonghwa?
I wasn't sure if I did. but I would believe it was he who did it over Sungyeon.
- oh my god... I have to call Sungyeon.
Hongjoong said, and ran to his room.
- how could you let us think it was Sungyeon... for two months?
I asked him.
I was so mad at him.
- how could you? For two fucking months.
I said, and pushed him.
I never really swore, but I was so angry.
- you were so quick to judge her. You don't deserve to have her in your lives.
He said.
- I never judged her!
I yelled.

- what the hell is going on?
Jongho said, when he entered the living room with Yunho.
- Nothing!
Seonghwa and I yelled at the same time.
