Beach Walk✔️

Background: You are at the beach with Colby, your best friend. You both decided it would be a good idea to take off from life and just enjoy the beach. While walking, an interesting topic comes up.

Enjoy...

"Hey! Stop splashing me!" You whine as Colby throws the water on you.
"Fineeeee." He pouts. You both start laughing.
"Oooo Colby!" You excited swim/hop over to him.
"Yea?" He looks in your direction and smiles.
"Wanna go on a walk?" You hopefully ask.
"Yea! Let's grab our stuff and put it in the car beforehand." You nod your head and make your way to the shore.

You grab the blanket you brought and dust it off. Once most of the sand is off you roll it up and stick it in the bag. You grab your bag and Colby grabs his, then you both walk towards his car. He pops the trunk and you two put the stuff away.

"Ready for our walk?" You excitedly ask jumping up and down.
"Yea lets go." He grabs your hand and runs down to the beach. You laugh the whole way until you're right next to the water.

You start your walk. You guys talked about everything and nothing. Sometimes you would walk in silence just enjoying the sound of the crashing waves. The sun was setting and it was absolutely amazing. It was warm out but not burning hot. A small breeze hit you and you shivered.

"Are you cold?" Colby looks down at you with worried eyes.
"No, I'm fine. It was just a breeze." He nods and you smile.

You stop and grab Colby's hand. You drag him into the water. You only went about knee deep. The water wasn't as warm as early so you really didn't want to go further. You and Colby just stood in each other's company enjoying the sunset.

"Let's start heading back." You tell Colby.
"Ok." You both get out of the water and head in the direction you came from.
"Wait, y/n. I have something I want to tell you." You turn and look at Colby.
"What's up?" He looks nervous and you can't figure out why.
"So, we've been friends for about 4 years and um, I, uh, have liked you for about a year." He spits out the last part fast.
"You, what?" You're at a loss for words. You've liked him for awhile now but you were afraid he wouldn't like you back.
"I like you. I have for a while." He re-states looking down.
"I like you too Colby." He looks up with surprise then smiles. He leans in and kisses you. It takes you by surprise but you quickly kiss back. You both part and he looks at you with a smile.
"Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" You smile widely.
"Yes." He smiles back and grabs you in a hug.

You both made it back to the car and decided to grab something to eat. You both were eager to tell your friends about the great news. He dropped you at your apartment and you immediately called your girl bestie.

"You'll never guess what happened..."
