Shopping Trip✔️

Background info: you have been wanting to go shopping for awhile. None of the girls are ever available so you take Colby with you.

     "Thanks for going shopping with me." You say to Colby as you hop in his car.
      "You're welcome." He replies. You smile and turn on the radio. You both sing and laugh all the way to the mall.

      Once you arrive you go straight towards the entrance, dragging Colby by the hand. Your first stop was Hot Topic. You knew Colby liked the store too so at least he wouldn't be to bored. You both went in and you were immediately hit with the intense emo feels. You smiled.

"I like the first choice." He said slightly laughing beside you.
"I figured you would." You joke back.

You both started looking around for anything you'd like. You ended up finding three band shirts and a cool pair of pants. You then went to look at the jewelry. You found a set of 6 earrings and a cute necklace. You were about to checkout when something caught your eye. Fishnets. You had been wanting some for awhile but just never got them. Today is the day. You say to yourself. You grab the fishnets and head towards the cash register.

"I'm going to checkout then step outside. Take your time." You inform Colby.
"Ok, I shouldn't be much longer." He replies. You nod and head towards the register

"Hi! How are you today." The person at the register questions.
"I'm good and you?" You continue.
"Ah you know, doing the do, livin life." They laugh slightly. You join in.
"Do you have an account?" You nod.
"What's the number?"
"333-444-5566." They type it in and smile.
"Perfect. Your total is $53.87. Will that be cash or card?" They question.
"Card." You smile. They nod.
"The screen will light up when you need to insert your card." They say pointing towards the little machine. You nod. The screen lights up saying 'insert card' and you do. You remove your card when told and the person grabs your receipt.
"Have a nice day!" They say happily.
"You too." You smile then head out. You stand there with your bag waiting for Colby to come out.

      You were thinking to yourself and just humming along to a song. You looked around the mall just to see what type of people were walking around. You spotted your ex and cringed. He was walking your way so you dive into Hot Topic. You bumped right into Colby when you did that.

      "Wow, you good?" He questions, helping you back up.
      "Yea, just trying to avoid my ex. He is really annoying and would probably talk my ear off." You laugh slightly.
      "Ooooh, I see." You glance back out and don't see him anywhere.
"Ready?" He nods and you both walk out.

You brought Colby to all sorts of different stores. During lunch time you two ate some Chick-fil-a, then continued your shopping trip. Colby bought you a Starbucks drink that you were very thankful for. You had one more store you wanted to go to. Spencer's. You walked in and immediately felt a little awkward. You've always been weird around sexual things. You see all the toys and clothes on the back wall and turn to look at shirts.

"You good?" Colby asks from beside you. He can tell you're tense.
"Yep. Just fine." You say with a smile. He gives a suspicious look but drops it. While looking at shirts you felt a tap on your shoulder and turned around expecting to see Colby. Instead it was your ex.
"Hey, y/n, long time no see. How have you been?"
"Uh, I've been good." You admit.
"Want to grab some drinks later? Like old times."
"No thank you." He looks annoyed at your response.
"Come on. It won't hurt to have a little fun." He tries to persuade.
"No. I don't want to grab drinks." You say sternly.
"You were always such a lame girlfriend." He huffs and walks away. Was I lame? You question. Maybe he's right, I am lame. You sigh and walk over to Colby.
"I'm gonna wait outside." You informed. Before he could say anything you walked out.

Was he just trying to be mean? I'm not lame am I? You were letting your thoughts run wild. You let him get to you. You told yourself you'd never let anyone get to you, but he did. You sigh and sit in a chair thats outside the store. Colby comes walking out with a small bag.

"Are you ok?" He asks worried.
"Yea, you ready to go?" You try to change the subject.
"Uh, Yea lets go." You both head towards the car. You put all your bags in the trunk and get in. Colby starts the car and heads to your house.
"Y/n, I can tell something's wrong, what is it?" He asks softly.
"I saw Rick. He just asked me out to get drinks and I declined." He nods.
"I can tell you're not telling me everything. I just want to help you." He seems sad as he says this.
"When I declined he just said I was always a lame girlfriend. It's no big deal though. It's stupid." You shrug it off but he just grabs your hand causing you to look up at him.
"If it makes you feel any better I don't think you're lame. I think you're a really cool person." He says smiling at you then looking back to the road.
"Thanks Colby." You smile. He always managed to make you feel better.
