Lovely Dates

Background Info: you have gone on a few dates with Colby and you were really starting to develop feelings for him.

You put on your black strappy sandals and grabbed your purse. You were going on another date with Colby. You two weren't officially dating, but you really hoped that he'd want to after this date. You were going to ask him to be your boyfriend, and you were excited. Colby was going to pick you up from your apartment and bring you over to a restaurant by the beach. You would both sit outside and enjoy the sunset, it would be great.

You checked your phone for any messages and the time. You then went to stick it back in your purse, but had to check the time again. 5:43. Colby said he would pick you up at 5:45 and that he would text you. You opened your apartment door and walked out to the front to meet Colby. As you stepped out the front door of your apartment building Colby drove up. He stepped out of the car and walked up to you.

"You look beautiful." He said looking you up and down. You blushed ever so slightly.
"You look great too." You complemented back. He smiled. He was wearing a maroon button up with black dress pants. He still had on a pair of Vans though.
"Thank you." He then opened the passenger side door for you. You thanked him and slid inside. He then went around the car and hopped in on the driver's side.
       "Ready to see the sunset?" He asked. He drove over to the beach, not taking his eyes off the road.
      "I'm so ready! I love the sunset" you smiled thinking about how great it was going to be.

       You both rode with the radio quietly playing. You recognized the song but couldn't think of the name. Colby tapped along to the song on the steering wheel. Colby parked his car and you both stepped out.

      "This place is beautiful." You said looking up at the restaurant. It was a dinner place, so dressing nicer was a good idea.
       "Not as beautiful as you." Colby said. You laughed at his cheesy-ness, but thanked him. You both walked in a towards the hostess stand.
       "Do you have a reservation?" The lady questioned.
       "Yes ma'am it's for Colby Brock." She nodded and scanned her list of names. She put her finger down on one and smiled.
       "Right this way." She grabbed two menus and walked towards the back. We followed closely behind her.

      We walked all the way through the restaurant and to the back little porch area. There were only two other occupied tables out here.

       "Here's your table. Your server should be right with you." She said then walked off. Colby pulled your seat out for you and you thanked him before taking a seat.
       "Colby, this place is amazing." He gushed. He smiled proudly.
      "I'm glad you like it. I heard it has great food and I knew we could see the sunset from here." He informed. You smiled and looked towards the ocean. The sun was just beginning to set and it looked gorgeous.

      The sky was a purplish-pink color and there were a few clouds. The waves were small but sounded pretty and calm. There were laughs here and there as kids played with their parents on the beach. Occasionally you could hear a bird chirp.

       "Hello, I'm Michael and tonight I will be your server." Someone said. Both you and Colby turned to see a dark haired man standing there. He was probably in his mid to late 50's.
       "What can I get you two to drink?" He asked.
       "I would like a Lemonade, please." He nodded and then looked over to Colby.
       "I'd just like a water please." The man nods and walks off.
       "So, what do you think you're going to get?" Colby asked, starting a conversation.
      "Good question, I forgot to look." You laughed slightly. You both looked at your menus and decided.
       "I think I want the chicken Caesar salad, what about you?" Colby looked up from his menu.
       "The Filet Mignon looks good, I think I'll get that." He informed, you nodded.

       You both talked an just enjoyed each other's company. You ordered and ate your food while the sun was setting. Tonight's sunset looked magnificent and you were very happy. Your waiter had brought out a candle to set between the two of you as it got darker out. The setting was amazing.

       "Do you want to go for a walk in the beach after dinner?" Colby asked.
       "I'd love to!" You replied happily. He requested the bill and paid, even though you tried to stop him.
       "Ready for our walk?" He asked, grabbing your hand. You smiled at the small gesture and nodded.
       "Would you mind if I dropped my shoes off at the car first?"
      "I wouldn't mind at all. I'll do the same." You both walked back to the car and set your shoes inside. You then walked towards the beach

       The warm breeze felt fantastic and the salty air smelled wondrous. You both walked din silence just enjoying the sound of the waves. Finally you both stopped and stared at the horizon.

      "I have something to ask you." You both said. You turned to each other and laughed.
      "You first." Colby said.
      "No you can go." You replied. He smiled with a small laugh.
       "How about together?" You nodded.
       "One, two, three." You both spoke.
       "Will you be my girlfriend?"
       "Will you be my boyfriend?" You both said at the same time. Your eyes widened in shock and so did his.
       "Yes." You both said in unison. You both died laughing. Colby smiles then pulled you in. He looked down at you, and leaned closer, kissing you.
