Chapter 4

He looks like he's just thinking or he's confused. I'm currently sitting in Lucas' room and I just told him I'm moving to California. He doesn't look upset he just looks confused. Then he finally speaks "Will this make you happy?" He asks. This shocks me but I think about it before I answer and my answer is "yes it will" I say. "Will you still call me and visit us?" Is his next question. This one is easier to answer. "Of course buddy" I say while smiling. "Okay" He says and hugs me. "So you're okay with this?" I ask a little taken back. "Yeah if it will make you happy and I still get to see you it's okay." He says while grinning at me. I join in his smile fest "I love you buddy" I say while hugging him. "I love you too Cho" He says into my shoulder.

I go back to my room after my talk with Lucas and see I have 23 missed calls. Oh my guacamole. I have 8 from Vanessa, 8 from Morgan and 7 from the Jerk. I ignore Kyle's calls and call Vanessa back. "Where have you been?? I called you like 10 times" she says. "Actually you only called 8 times and I had to break the news to Lucas." I say and her expression softens. "How'd he take it?" She asks. "Good actually. He said he was happy as long as I was happy and I visited" I say smiling. "Aww he's so sweet. Anyways I talked to our neighbor and he said that you can move in anytime just email him 2 days prior so he knows. He'll give you the key and everything when you get here." She says. "Okay I am planning on packing up this week and driving over there on Friday" I say. (Author's note: today is Saturday and the story started Friday. Just to give y'all a timeline) "Okay. I'll text you his email and get to packing! I'm serious" she says in joking serious tone. I laugh at her and respond with "Yes ma'am" I say while saluting her and giggling. "Whatever I have to go I will call you later. Bye love you!" She says. "Love you too" I say while hanging up.

After my call with Vanessa I lay down on my bed and think about the last two days and the week ahead of me. Things can change in a instance. Who knew? I wonder while my eyes start to close and I fall asleep.
