Start over

Chapter 7

After 31 tiring hours of driving I finally arrive in LA. I park in the parking garage under my new apartment. I'm first going to go up and see my two weirdos before I go meet my new roommate.

I go up the elevator and hit the 3rd floor. I'm so excited to see my best friends and start my new life here. When the elevator doors open on the 2nd floor there is a young guy probably around my age who enters. He is actually really cute but he kind of gives off this bad boy vibe. Which I really should stay away from considering my past. "Take a picture it will last longer, Princess" he says. I realize I have been standing here staring at him .I choose to ignore him. I get my phone out and check my notifications and see a text from Lucas that says "I missss you!!" I giggle to myself and text him back and say "I MISS YOU TOO BUDDY!!!" Then we stop at my floor and I get out and the guy stays in the elevator. Before I can walk away he says "hopefully I'll see you around" he says with a wink. "No thanks" I say following my dad's advice to stay out of trouble.

I knock on apartment 3B which is supposed to be Vanessa and Morgan's apartment. I hear some squeals from the other side of the door and know I'm at the right apartment. "Omg you're here!" Vanessa screams once she opens the door. After I am immediately thrown into a giant bear hug with the two of them. "I missed y'all too but I can't breathe" I say trying to breathe. "Sorry" Morgan immediately says. "Let me in losers. I'm hungry" I say after which makes them both giggle.

After making a pizza we catch up because I don't have to meet my roommate until 4 and it's only 2:30 now. "Shoot" I say jumping off the couch and grabbing my phone. "What" Vanessa asks with wide eyes. "I'm supposed to call my parents to tell them I made it. Plus I promised Lucas to call him so he can say hi to you guys." I say dialing my mom's number. "Hey hunny. Did you make it?" She asks "yeah I made it. Is Lucas there I told him I would FaceTime him so he can see V and M." I say. "Yeah I'll have him FaceTime you. Bye hunny tell my two giggles I love and miss them" she says referring to Vanessa and Morgan. They both instantly scream "WE LOVE AND MISS YOU TOO MRS.MARTIN" since they are eavesdropping on my call. "Bye mom. Love you" "bye hunny love you too" she says before hanging up. Then less than a minute later I get a FaceTime request from Lucas. I answer and say "hey buddy" with a giant grin. I really miss him already. "Hey Choe!!" He says with his precious little grin. "Hey little monster" Vanessa says coming into the frame. "NESSA" he screams "where's Morgy?" He says. "Right here monkey" she says with all three of us in the frame now. He starts telling V and M all about his new toy car. He loves them so much when they would come over for sleepovers while we were still in high school he would always join in no matter what it was. I remember one time he really wanted to try a face mask so we let him and he loved it. "Choe guess what??" He says "what buddy?" I ask waiting for his answer. "Dylan is having a birthday party and invited me. It's race car themed" he says with so much excitement. "That's awesome buddy. I hope you have fun" I say.

After talking to Lucas for a hour he went to take a nap. It is currently 3:55 I am getting ready to leave so I can meet my new roommate. I really hope he isn't a jerk like the guys from high school. "I'll call you guys after I meet my roommate. Bye I love you guys" I say walking towards the door. "Bye good luck" they say. I walk to apartment 3A and knock on the door and wait for a response. When the door opens I stood there shocked. Why him? "I knew I would see you around princess" he says with a smirk. Uh why does the world hate me. So much for staying out of trouble.
