Epilogue p.1

1 year later

"Hurry up, Princess" screamed an impatient Ryder. I walk out the room to him "I'm ready". He looks at me and just stares at my body. I roll my eyes and lift his head to meet my eyes "my eyes are up here buddy". That brought a smile to his face and he wrapped his arms around my waist and brought his lips to mine. We stayed like this for a second before I pulled away. He gave me a pout and I rolled my eyes at him. "We have to go remember" I say grabbing my phone from the coffee table. "Maybe we could just stay here instead" he whispers into my ear. I look at him and give him a peck on the lips and start walking towards the door "come on. Let's go". I look at him and he rolls his eyes and mutters something that sounds like "tease". I roll my eyes and we are out the door.

"Hey Emily" I say giving the recently 11 year old a big hug. "CHLOE!" She screams while I'm hugging her. I let her go and she runs to give Ryder a hug "Hey ninja" he says. She loves Ryder so much and he treats her so well. We are at the warehouse just meeting up with all our friends since we have all been so busy lately. Everyone kind of separated after the incident but at the same time they all stayed close. I see Jackson and Vanessa making out and mentally gag. "Get a room. There are kids here" I say slapping Jackson in the back of the head. "Ow! You are always so violent" Jackson says while I give him and Vanessa a hug. They both got together not long after me and Ryder. Since then Vanessa has joined the gang but still attends UCLA. Jackson is still the leader but he's done some rule changing and now helps out more than he did before. The gang has come far in this last year. I walk away from them to find someone else.

I see Cole and Morgan laughing to something with Keith. "Hey guys" I say greeting them all. "Hey Chlo" They say. I notice Cole has his arm around Morgan's waist. They got together not long ago,probably a month or so ago. Morgan has been living a pretty normal life. She's studying to become a teacher whereas Cole is still in the gang but he is also starting school to do something with his life. He hasn't decided what he wants to be yet.

I smile at Keith and notice he is missing someone. "Where's the idiot?" I ask Keith. Before he can respond I feel someone grab me from behind and spin me around. "Hey darling" and I instantly know who it is. "Do you not remember what happened last time you surprised me, Joey" I ask while he puts me down and I give him a hug. "Oh yeah. That was a good punch though" I chuckle while he heads over to Keith and gives him a kiss on the cheek. I know what you are thinking. We didn't expect it either but if they are happy together who are we to fight it. They finally admitted their feelings for each other like 8 months ago and have been happy ever since. Joey and Keith both dropped the gang after the incident. They both got jobs to keep supporting Emily together. She loves Joey with all her heart just like Keith.

I've been talking to Keith and Joey for a couple minutes while Ryder has been playing with Emily. I realize we are missing some people. "Where's Tony?" I ask Joey. He looks confused and shrugs. I hear the warehouse door open and see Tony walk in with Tati and their beautiful baby girl, Lilia. I excuse myself and make it over to them. "Hey loser. Hi Tati" I say hugging them both. "Hey Chloe" They both say. I look at Lilia and can't help but smile. "You want to hold her?" Tati asks when she notices me looking at Lilia. I nod my head and she hands me the beautiful little girl. Lilia Chloe Martin. They put her middle name as Chloe to "honor" me since I saved both their lives but honestly I like the name but I think the reason is a little over the top but it's their choice. Tati and Tony got married before Lilia was born. Tony is no longer involved in the gang. They both have working jobs but Tati wants to become a clothing designer one day. I have hope for her. I hand Lilia back to Tati when I see two people walk in the door.

"I didn't know you guys were coming" I say to Delilah and Kaleb. I hug them both. "We missed you guys" Kaleb says with a big smile. After the incident, Kyle was taken to jail but after I gave my testimony about how he was not a bad guy but just not stable, the court decided he needed to be put in a psych ward. That's where he's been the last year. I went and visited him once and I can't say I hate him. I know you probably think I'm crazy for saying that but I think that he just doesn't understand how lucky he was. He looked at the negatives in life instead of the positives. He told me when I went to visit him that he wishes he could go back and undo everything he did to me. I chose not to hold a grudge against him. As for Kaleb and Delilah, Delilah was not charged for Martin's murder because it was self defense. Since then her and Kaleb have been trying to make up for everything Martin did. Kaleb joined the gang and is working with Jackson to fix the community. Delilah has been laying low and living a calm life. "I missed you guys too" I say hugging them again and walking them over to the group.
