Chapter 31

"Okay everyone listen up" I say from the stage. Everyone made it back to the warehouse including Keith and Emily. Time to make a plan. "Tomorrow a lot of shit is going to go down but before we talk about plans I want you all to remember one thing." I look at them all to make sure I have their attention. "Do not try and be a hero. You all have people waiting for you to return, don't be a hero please" I say hoping that it won't have to come down to being a hero. "Does everybody understand?" I ask and they all nod their heads. "Now let's get started" I say jumping off the stage towards them.

"Tomorrow I want everyone to group up. I'll be with someone I'll mention later but I have you group up already." I say looking at them all. "Vanessa you and Morgan stay together but stay close to Cole and Jackson just in case. Tony and Ryder I know you guys don't particularly like each other but you guys are our biggest guys so you guys stick together and have each other's backs. Understood?" I ask them. They both nod while eying each other. "Joey, you'll be with Keith" I say then finish pairing off the rest of the guys. "Does everyone understand who they are with?" I ask and get all nods but then Morgan raises her hand. I give her a look to continue "who are you with?" She asks I sigh and look at everyone who is waiting for me to respond. "I'll be with Brody" I say and see everyone's eyes go wide before Ryder stands up as if challenging me.

"Are you crazy?!?" He screams at me. "Listen. I'm going to call him and ask him to be my "date" since he doesn't know about what I know. Then I can keep an eye on him and see if he has anything up his sleeve" I say while crossing my arms. "You can't be with this guy when everything goes down. You realize that right Chlo" Keith says from behind a very angry Ryder. "It's either that or be surprised and I'm not taking the chance." I say to everyone. "Look Chlo we all want this to end just as much as you but you can't risk your life" Jackson says. "You put me in charge and this is the plan. I can take care of myself" I say walking away to call the devil himself. Nobody follows me which is good. Ugh let's get this over with.

"Hey! This is Brody right?" I ask as innocent as possible. "Yeah. Who's this?" He asks. I roll my eyes and say "it's Chloe from the party a couple weeks ago" I swear I hate myself for this. "Oh hey Sweetheart" he says and I know he is smirking. I fake a giggle and now it's time "Are you free tomorrow?" I ask him. "Probably why?" I roll my eyes and say "my cousin is throwing this party like thing and I was wondering if you wanted to accompany me as my date" I almost gag asking that. "I'd love to" He says and I know he thinks he has me but oh is he wrong. "That's great I'll text you the information" I say waiting for a response. "That's great,Cupcake" He says and I freeze for a minute and let it go. "Bye Brody" I say while letting out a fake giggle again. Then I hang up and sigh and fall down the wall. He just had to call me cupcake didn't he.

After composing myself I walk back in the warehouse to meet with everyone huddled around Tony. I clear my throat and everyone turns to look at me. "You actually called him?" Tony says shoving his phone in my face. I read it and it's a text from Brody saying how I'm so oblivious. I roll my eyes and cross my arms and say "see it's working. He's underestimating us." I say to everyone who is looking at me like I'm crazy. "Is it really worth your safety? I mean remember who he is" Morgan tries to argue with me but I let out a sigh and push past her.

I'm about to start planning again when someone grabs my wrist and drags me to another room. I turn around to be faced with a still mad Ryder. "Are you crazy" he asks. You know I'm tired of everyone asking me that. "Look I know you are mad and don't want me to get hurt but this is our only chance at coming out of this alive" I say giving him a stern look. He scoffs at me. I kidd you not he scoffed right in my face. "There are plenty of other options you just want to be the hero and get all the glory" he says pointing an accusing finger at me. I just stare at him. He's kidding right? "You know what Ryder think whatever you want but I'm tired of people I care about getting hurt so maybe I do want to take some risks to end it. At least I have the balls to face my past" I say while walking out the room.

I walk back to the gang and see everyone just stare at me in shock. I guess they heard. You know what I don't care. I roll my eyes and walk over to the plans. I start deciding where everyone's will be when I get a call. I look and I can feel my eyes shed a few tears. I answer it.
