Chapter 39

RYDER'S POV
We drove to the address. It led to a abandoned building. We all were ready for the worst. We were all armed and ready to run inside. I look at everyone and they nod their heads. We all start waking up to the building and surround it. I am walking around the back with Joey following close behind. I find a door and I turn to Joey to see if he is ready. He nods and I proceed to open the door and walk in and watch my surroundings.

I don't see anything so I motion for Joey to follow. We continue walking around corners until I hear voices. I motion for Joey to stay quiet. I listen and hear two male voices arguing. "We can end this Kyle. It doesn't have to be like this" a voice says. "No! It does have to be like this Kaleb! I will get what I want and what I want is control of that gang" I hear a voice I assume to be Kyle's say. "She did nothing to deserve this" Kaleb screams back. "If you don't watch yourself I'll end her life without hesitation" Kyle says. I feel myself tense up and clench my fists. "No. Don't do that. I'll do whatever you want" Kaleb says in defeat. I look across the hall to see Tony and Keith. I motion for them to be ready to go in but we are beat to it. "Hello there boys" says a voice that makes my eyes go wide.

CHLOE'S POV
After Kaleb left I decided it's time to get out of here. I pick myself up and walk towards the wall and smash the chair against it. It takes a couple hits but it finally breaks to little pieces and the ropes slide down my body. I hear yelling and grab the gun Kaleb left for me and walk up to the door with caution. I listen in on the conversation. I can't believe Kyle was the traitor. Fuck this. I walk into the room with the gun drawn and point it at Kyle's head. "Hello there boys" I say smirking at Kyle.

His face goes into shock. He recovers and crosses his arms and smirks. "Oh well look who finally figured something out" he says with hatred laced in his voice. "Fuck you! Now we can do this the easy way or we can do it the hard way" I say smirking when I notice a piece of hair in the door frame. Then I see part of a head show up. I look on the other side and see Tony. He notices I see him and signals to someone. Joey,Ryder,Keith, and Tony stand up and walk into the room. Kyle's face looks furious. I look over at Kaleb and he looks at ease. "You want me to deal with him?" Keith asks pointing at Kaleb. I shake my head no. All the boys in the room look at me in confusion, including Kaleb. "There is a lot we need to talk about but now is not the time" I say referring to Kyle who I have at gunpoint.

I look at Kyle and find myself asking this "How long have you been brewing up this plan?" He looks at me and smirks "3 years" he says this with no remorse at all. I find myself go silent. He notices he hit a nerve and smirks at his "achievement" and then I remember what my mom told me. "I'm sorry hunny. I really am but crying about it doesn't do anything. Show him that you are better off without him" . That's what I'll do. "It's a good thing you weren't 1 ounce the man of Kaleb. That's probably why your dad chose to keep him and leave you with your mom" I say knowing it would hit a nerve. He looks at me with so much rage and anger. "You know I am 10 times the man of Kaleb. Do I need to remind you he left and what happened at that party years ago" he says smirking. That's when it hit me. He is behind everything bad that happens in my life. "You set him up. You drugged him, knowing what would happen" I say ready to explode at any moment. I see Tony about tackle him but I stop him. I was about to speak again when we heard a gunshot go off. I look at everyone and Tony grabs Kyle and we all run to where the shot went off at.
