Chapter 27

I woke up to the sound of yelling. I jump up and try to get up but a arm is holding me down. I look and see Ryder sleeping. He needs to let go. I slap him as lightly as I can but with enough force he'll wake up. He groans "let me up I think Jackson and Tony are fighting" I say pulling his arm off. He jumps up too and we both walk to Jackson's room to see Jackson on the floor and Tony laughing. "What's happening? I heard yelling" I say leaning on the door frame with Ryder behind me. "This asshole here threw me off my bed" Jackson says while standing up. Tony laughs and says "it was the only way to wake him up". I roll my eyes and say "you guys are idiots I'm going back to bed for another hour. Wake me up and you'll regret being born" I say walking back to the guest room.

I lay down and close my eyes and not even a second later I hear the door open and close. I choose to ignore it. I feel the bed dip and someone pull me towards their chest. I still ignore him. "You know you have to get up, right?" I hear someone whisper in my ear. I turn and glare at Ryder. "No" is all I say before turning back around and ignoring him again. "First you don't want to sleep now you won't get up. Are you bipolar or something?" He asks laughing at himself. I ignore him still until I'm being lifted off the bed.

I turn and find out Ryder is carrying me bridal style out of the guest room. "Ugh why?" I say turning to look at him. "Because it's almost 11" he says and I roll my eyes at him. He places me on the kitchen counter and steps between my legs. "Now what?" I ask trying to break the awkward silence. He just shrugs and stares at me and I stare back. He starts to lean in and so do I. We are inches away from each other when we hear someone stomping through the hallway towards the kitchen. We both jump apart when we see Tony and Jackson enter the kitchen.

"Hey" I say awkwardly scratching my neck. Tony is glaring at Ryder while Jackson is smirking at me. "Sorry to intrude on you lovebirds" Jackson says grabbing some coffee. I roll my eyes and see Tony still glaring at Ryder while Ryder doesn't even notice because he's looking at me. I smile awkwardly at him and he smiles back. I jump off the counter and walk over to Tony and give him a hug. He's definitely surprised but hugs me back. "Thanks for caring" I whisper in his ear. "I always have" He says when we let go. He has this distant look on his face. Maybe Tony has changed and wants to be better. For some reason I have a feeling I don't know his full story. While Tony is thinking I notice a cut on his arm. It doesn't look like a cut you would get during a fight. I look at him and I know he knows I noticed the cut. I'm about to ask when he interrupts me. "I have to head out but I'll see you guys this afternoon. Bye cuz" he says giving me a kiss on the head. He's hiding something and I'm gonna figure out what.

I grab my shoes and am about to leave when I get caught by Ryder. "Where you going princess?" He says leaning on the door frame. "I just gotta go do something I'll be back" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek before he can argue I run out the door to my car. As I'm driving away I see him trying to stop me but I pretend to not hear him. I'm going to find out what Tony is hiding. Little did he know I knew he was going to run out so while he was making dinner last night I put a tracker on his car. I look at my phone and see he's at the warehouse he was at when I first found out his plan. I drive their until I realize I'm being followed I look behind me and see Jackson's car. I smirk and know he's trying to go unseen. Oh man he would be such a bad secret agent. Time to loose him. I hit the gas and turn corner after corner until I know he's a bit behind so I turn into a parking garage and wait until I see his car drive by and go the opposite way towards the warehouse. Hopefully I won't regret this.
