Chapter 10

I only got about 3 hours of sleep after the incident with Ryder. I decided to get up and make coffee and watch some tv. I'm scrolling through the channels after getting my coffee and stop on SpongeBob. I know what you are thinking but I like this show and don't care what he says about it.

After watching a hour of SpongeBob I hear a door open. I choose to ignore it assuming it's Ryder. "You are kidding me right" he says while walking into the living room. "Do you have a problem with my tv selections?" I ask while not looking at him. "Whatever" He says while walking into the kitchen to get coffee I assume.

After making his coffee he comes back into the living room and joins me on the couch. "So do you have any plans for today?" I ask trying to break the silence. "Not really. I might go out later though" he says. "What about you princess? You got any plans?" He says with a smirk assuming I have no plans. "Actually my idiotic best friends are dragging me to a party tonight" I say with a little annoyance. "Oh you mean the two girls who came knocking on my door like crazy people asking if I still needed a roommate a couple weeks ago?" He says with amusement twinkling in his eyes. "You are kidding right?" I say already knowing he isn't. "Nope" He says popping the P. We both start laughing at them. "I'm sorry to say it but the two crazy girls will be over around 6 to get me ready." I say. "It's ok I'll probably be gone by then anyway. If not I'll hide." He says with a smile. "They aren't that bad once you get to know them" I say. "Sure" He says while getting up and leaving. Then I hear the shower and continue to watch tv.

Once Ryder got out I went and showered then I blow dried my hair and looked for an outfit for the party tonight. While I'm searching my closet I hear a knock on my door. "Come in" I say and Ryder walks in and lays down on my bed leaning on the headboard. I raise my eyebrows at him and giving him a look that says 'what are you doing'. "What" He asks as if he doesn't know why I'm giving him this look. "What are you doing?" I ask. "I was bored so I figured I would give you the pleasure of hanging out with me." He says with a smirk. "I'm kind of busy with anything else but thanks anyway." I say while walking back to my closet and search for an outfit. "What are you doing that's so important you can't hang out with me" he asks. "I'm looking for an outfit for tonight" I say.

Then I hear my phone ring from the bed. "Who is it?" I ask when I see Ryder pick up my phone. "Someone named Lucas" he says with I think jealousy. I smile and grab the phone and answer the FaceTime. "Hey buddy" I say and Ryder tenses up a bit at first. Then he sees my adorable little brother come into the frame and he instantly relaxes. "Hi Choey" he says with an adorable smile. "Who's that?" Lucas asks referring to Ryder. "Oh this is my friend Ryder. Ryder this is my little brother Lucas" I say introducing them. "Hey little guy" Ryder says. "Hi. Do you like race cars?" Lucas asks Ryder. "Actually I do. Do you?" Ryder asks with a smile. "I love them. I want a real one for my birthday but mommy says I can't have one until I'm older" Lucas says with a pout that I laugh at. "Choey is Bubbles there I want to say hi" Lucas says to me. "Yeah let me grab him from the chair" I say handing the phone to Ryder to hold. "Who's Bubbles?" Ryder asks Lucas. "He's my best friend but he wanted to see LA with Choey so they went together so she wasn't alone." Lucas says and I come back with Bubbles in my hand and Lucas immediately smiles with a grin that could melt my heart. "Hi Bubbles" he says waving at him. "Hi Lucas" I say pretending to be Bubbles. "I have to go but can I call you tomorrow,Choey?" Lucas asks me . "Of course you can call me whenever you want bud." I say smiling at my adorable little brother. "When I call can I talk to Ryder with you too" Lucas asks. I look at Ryder for an answer and he says "of course buddy" Ryder says to Lucas. "Yay! Bye Choey I love you" He says while blowing me a kiss. I do the same and respond with "love you too bud" then I hang up.

"He's adorable" Ryder says next to me. "He really is" I say smiling. "I wasn't expecting a little kid when I saw the name" he admits. Lucas' name in my phone is Lucas with a bunch of hearts and a teddy bear emoji. "Aww was someone jealous" I tease him and giggle to myself. "No. Why would I be jealous because of you?" He asks with anger in his voice. I know he might be mad but that really hurt. I mean I know I'm not the most beautiful girl but I didn't think I was ugly. Before I could respond there was a knock on the door. I walk out the room but before I made it to the door someone grabbed my wrist. "I didn't mean it like that" he says but I ignore him and open the door to my best friends. They hug me and we walk to my room but I turn and look behind me and see Ryder just stomp out the door. What a jerk.
