"If you take any longer your gonna be late for the bus!" My mother shouts from downstairs as I was finishing up flat ironing my hair.

"Coming!" I shout before unplugging my flat iron, grabbing my phone off the nightstand, and my bag.

Before exiting my room, I quickly applied my lipgloss making sure my appearance in the mirror was a one.

I walked out my room, walking down the hallway turning into the kitchen to see my mother still unpacking the kitchen boxes such as utensils, glass plates, etc.

"Morning", I say before kissing her on the cheek and walking to the fridge grabbing a water bottle.

"You got everything?" She asked being the concerned and worried mother she always was.

"yes"

"Class schedule?" She asked.

"yes"

"Directions from here to the school and back?" She asked.

"yes" I say in annoyance now.

"Maze?" She asked me.

"Ma, it's korea. It's not like back at home, okay. I'll be fine. It's only school. How bad could it be?" I asked her.

"Alright, Love you. Be safe", she says as I walk to the front door.

"Love you too, bye", I say walking out the front door, and walking down the stairs making my way to the bus stop.

I plugged my headphones into my phone, and turning on my music to blockout just about anything and everything.

Today was my first day at KNUOA also known as Korea National University Of Arts. Surprisingly this school happens to be one of best performing arts school in Korea.

When I applied I really wasn't accepting to get in, I really don't have reason to why I applied. I just did it. So when I found out that I was accepted with a full paid scholarship it surprised both my mother and I.

Leaving everything and everyone we knew back at home wasn't easy either. I had to give my friends, my job, school and a lot of other things. But Ma says it's a great way to start fresh, so I can just focus on me and what's best for my future.

I want to be a performer, a successful one at that. Like Beyoncé. It's always been a dream of mine since I was little to have millions of people screaming my name because they either love me or my music.

It's been my mom and I for a while now. After my father and her got a divorce, he left her. In the process he also left me. This isn't the story of how my father and mother loved each other and they just fall out of It. Instead.... they hated each other. The only good thing that came out of there relationship was me, well... that's what I'm always told.

I was pulled out my thoughts when the bus came to full stop causing me unplug my headphones and look around to realize a couple of students wearing the school's uniforms get off the bus.
